The office was a bustle but I could barely keep my eyes open. I glanced at the clock beside me. '12:34am' it read. I whined in frustration. I had already started hating this job. I informed Mia about my over time earlier that evening.
Mr.Jeon had gone home now and I was relieved that I didn't have to face his arrogant ass. He was being such a douche. That just made me hate him even more. I kept my interactions with him very limited as I despised even being close to him. But I chose to keep my personal feelings aside when it came to business. As I was about doze off, the door opened revealing a smiley Soyeon. I surprised me to see how she managed to be so lively even at this hour while there I was as slow and soulless like a dying sloth. "Hey Hyemi! Wanna grab some coffee??" She asked clapping her hands together. "At this hour?" I yawned slowly getting up "Yeah, there's a Starbucks right across the road. Considering the fact that I worked here for 3 years, I can assure that it's still open" I nodded knowing that a coffee could really help me out.
We walked out of the building. I rubbed my hands together feeling the cold wind blow across my body. Man, It was cold for a month like july. "My friends are already there waiting for us" she said and I just nodded. I was just too tired to socialise with anyone at the moment. We walked into the almost empty Starbucks which had a few employees of our company. Mia grabbed my hand and led me to a table where two men sat I could only see one as the other guy had his back towards us. I almost dropped down at the sight of him.
"So guys this is Jung Hyemi, the CEO's new personal assistant" Soyeon chipped "Oh so you're the one" the hot guy said winking at me. But before I could reply and familiar voice caught my attention "Hyemi...?" I turned to see the other guy and my jaw dropped in surprise. "Ren?" "You guys know each other?" Soyeon asked eyeing at me. I just shut my mouth not knowing what to say. It was just so awkward. He was least expected to be here. Life is so unpredictable in many ways. He broke the awkward silence and decided to speak up "Well... this is awkward" he chuckled rubbing his face. I nodded taking a seat next to him. "It sure is" "So you know ..... that girl I told I was going on a date with?" He asked hoping that they'd catch the lead and it looked like they did. "Don't tell me...." the hot guy spoke up and Ren nodded. "Yeah I guess that girl is me" I smiled awkwardly at Ren for which he smiled back. "Woah that escalated quickly" Soyeon muttered. "Damn, you're one hell of a lucky guy" the hot one said and I chuckled at that. "If anyone, that would be me" he gave me a mocking smile tried to tell something. "Oh look at you, already standing up for him huh?" "What? No I ju-" he cut he off smiling "I was just kidding. My name's Jackson" "Nice to meet you Jackson" "And it sure is a pleasure to meet an goddess like you too" he winked at me once again making Ren clear him throat. "What would you like to order guys?"

Jackson agreed to accompany me to the office ignoring all of Ren's protests. That guy was seriously cute, I should really get to know Ren more. We reached the door when I stood and looked at him. "Thanks ..." "For what? Walking you from busan to seoul?" He asked and i giggled "Yeah for walking me from Busan to Seoul." "It's my pleasure. Call me if you wanna ride home. You cant obviously go alone this late" "No.... it's okay I guess I'll just crash in" I shrugged "Just in case " he handed me a paper with his number, kissed my cheek and walked away while I stood there gawking like an idiot. I quickly came back to my senses when I heard a few female employees giggle at me. I rushed into the office with a flushed red face.
