I have walked
Along the beaches
Scattered
Across the world
Leaving my footprints
In the sand
Hoping that the earth
Would remember me
Even as my legacy
Was washed away by the tide
And became a blank slate
Once again
No one was there
To remind me that
My past
Was really behind me.

This poem is one of my favourites, if I'm going to be honest. I feel really proud of how the symbolism wasn't too heavy but still played an important role.
Also, have you read the blurb for this collection yet? I recently changed it, so now it reads:
♠️ t h e / h e a r t s / o f / u t o p i a n / g a m e m a k e r s / h o p e / t o / l e a d / e a c h / s h a t t e r e d / s o u l. ♠️♠️Told from the perspectives of four people who decided that poetry was their best shot at healing their emotional scars.♠️
Hopefully the above summary and what exactly these 4 people are doing will become more obvious later on.
