Push and pull

Grow and ebb

Waxing wishes

And waning strength

Tossed from

Sea to sea

A skipping stone

Never finding home

I'd often look

To face the pale moon

But fall to dreamless sleep

Before I could ask

How it changes so easily

From crescent to full

While holding onto

The ocean, its ground

A form of synergy

Between the two

If only to hold hands

And never come close

But like the tide

This is how it'll be

As long as we strive for the

Things that keep us breathing.

I won third place in the 4th edition of WOCA...so that's pretty nice.

You know what's even nicer?

My judge gave lots of quality feedback. Keyword here being quality. It won't be until after I finish the collection that I'll start editing and using the feedback, but I'm keeping it in mind now while writing the rest of these poems.

Shout-out to iamverda357 for being a great judge! (She writes poetry too!)
