Little sparks
Jump to life
Onto the snow
Above us, the stars
Wink and glow
With a light
Soft and strong
I hold him closer
So familiar, so new
This energy I feel
Makes me feel alive
The words between us
Stretch, and wane
Then melt, cascading
Into waves of joy
Our foreheads touch,
And we talk with smiles
In the middle of
The beauty that remains.
