Keeping our connection
On the calmer side of things
Is like trying to save a sinking boat
In the middle of a storm
Some will say
It's a lost cause
"Walk away
There's no hope"
Though I know
Not to listen
Cause look at us
The leftover pieces
Of the shapeshifting puzzle
If we can't fit together
Have faith in each other
Not turn our backs whenever there's a mirror
Either there were no cracked hearts
To mend in the
First place, or
Our wounds
Have made us stick like glue
That no type of storm can ever pull apart.
