Doyensare 'the most respected person in a particular field.'—Henry Slovaski They find soulmates and mate for life. The doyen gene usually occurs once a generation. Each doyen has an ability:
Adeline: She can send herself or others to another place. She used her ability to send Grayson to visit Aisling as a child.
Henry: He can make someone relive his or her past. This ability allows you to see the memories you have forgotten. He uses this ability to make Aisling believe in the supernatural.
Aisling: Aisling has various abilities. She is clairvoyant, extremely empathetic, telekinetic and she shares the gift of telepathy with Kayde. It is uncertain which abilities are influences of the witch gene.
Alycanis someone who is born a wolf. They do not have to turn on the full moon. When angry or upset, their eyes glow gold.
Awerewolfis someone who is turned into a wolf by being bitten. They are forced to turn during the full moon and are more aggressive than lycans. When angry or upset, their eyes glow blue.
Ahybridis someone who shares two supernatural traits.
Atribridis someone who shares three supernatural traits.
