It had been a month since Calypso's death and Leo appeared back to normal. But it's only a mask used to cover the scars he's too scared to show the world. I know because I've seen that expression enough times staring back at me in my own bathroom mirror. It brought me so much pain and anguish seeing Leo like this. It's gotten to the point where I don't care if I have to fall from the sky in order to get Leo to fly again.

I remember clearly what I was doing. I was walking back to my cabin after having visited Leo (again) to check on him. (He said he was okay...but that's exactly what I used to say.) It was as I reached the cabin door, hand just centimeters from the handle when a thought crossed my mind.
'Why do I care more about Leo then his other friends?'
And no sooner had the thought wandered through my brain, then the answer revealed itself to me.
I love him.
I'm in love with Leo.

I never knew how much I needed Leo's love until now. I know I'll never get it and that only makes it hurt even more. I wish there was a way I could show him that I'd give anything for him. Truth is, Leo's truly shattered over Calypso's death, but I believe he can be healed; not by time, but by a lover instead. And no matter who it is, I know I'm going to stand with him till the end.

I heard about how Percy walked through Tartarus for Annabeth, and there was no doubt in my mind that I was willing to do the same for Leo. I just hoped he would do the same for me. Leo saved my life and I'll do whatever it takes to repay the favour.

As I lean over Leo's still figure, I whisper into his ear;
"I love you, Leo."
And placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.
"You missed."
I spun around in surprise at the answer that rose from the once sleeping form. I tried to leave in a rush, but Leo quickly latched onto my arm and forced me to look into his eyes. I slowly relaxed as I saw the pain Calypso had caused leak from his eyes and love for me fill them with a brimming brightness I had missed with every fiber of my being.
"I love you too, Y/N. Promise me you'll never leave."
