[Writer's note: It's a much larger chapter than usual, and also has a lot more events in it, so please bare with me! I promise it will get all lovey and dovey in a few chapters. Enjoy <3]
[Third person POV]
Mark was surprised by Sean's sudden answer but was grateful. It had taken him a good hour to persuade himself to talk to someone. He felt as if Bob and Wade would be supportive but maybe wouldn't / couldn't help. That meant Sean was the person he should talk to.
M: Can we talk, please?
J: Of course Mark! What's wrong?
M: I'm sorry I haven't been online this past day or so. When I woke up this morning, I wasn't myself. Sean, I need help. I think I've got something wrong with me!
J: Hey, calm down buddy. If you want, we can chat about it over skype?
M: I'd like that, but I'm afraid I'll be a sobbing mess. I look terrible when I cry.
J: Ya big doof. I don't care about what you look like, silly. You're my best friend, and I'd do anything to make you happy or feel better. I'm currently out somewhere, but I'll head home and start a call, okay?
He doesn't like me for my looks? Mark thought to himself. He was really flattered and felt himself glow a deep red when he had read Sean's message. He's just being nice Mark, calm down.
M: Oh, thank you so much, Sean. It really means a lot. I honestly don't think my friends would have done this...
J: WHAT!? Your friends wouldn't listen to you when you are broken down? But that's terrible. Mark, I promise that no matter what, I'll always be here for you to talk to.
Sean's face was white as a sheet after writing that. He realised afterwards that it sounded like a wedding vow, and hoped Mark hadn't picked up on that. He didn't want Mark finding out he was bisexual, and potentially ignoring or neglecting him for it. Though, he imagined Mark was better than to do that.
Buuuutttt, Mark picked up on the wedding vow thing. He didn't mention it for fear of making things awkward. The Asian-American stared at the message, and felt a tear form in his eye and drip down onto his shorts. But he was not crying from sadness. He had never heard these words before, and the fact that they were coming from Sean just made him implode into a flustered mess. He knew he had to fix his blushing before he skyped Sean.
M: Thanks. Those words mean a lot to me, so really, thank you, Sean. Call me when you're home safe, okay?
J: Heh, no problem. And will do. Almost home now. :)
Whilst texting Mark, Sean had actually already left the hill and made his way into the chilly, slightly misty town below. The October weather was kicking in, so the world was starting to be surrounded by beautiful reds and oranges as the trees were preparing for autumn. It was enchanting, yes, but also cold. Sean donned some gloves and made his way home. Sean was grateful to be blessed with such an amazing life. He was popular with the internet, had the greatest friend he could ask for, lived in a beautiful country and was comfortable with himself. He had confidence he once never believed existed.
Sean fumbled his numb fingers through his pockets until he found his house key and entered his house. He turned on the living room lights, making it bright enough that he didn't walk into a coffee table on his way upstairs (this happened a surprisingly large amount of times, and the worst part was, he never used that coffee table. Damn table.)
