Two bros and The Internet

•Chapter 12•

[Time skip to the day before the flight.]

Mark had finished cleaning his house at last and threw out a bunch of old stuff that reminded him of Amy. That included his bed. He bought two beds from Ikea and got his friends Bob and Wade to help assemble one in his room and a bed in the spare office for Sean's room.

Previously, that spare office had been cluttered with junk but now that he cleaned it out, it was much larger than he anticipated. He could fit a bed and a desk in there. He decided it would be nice so he also searched online what model computer Sean had and assembled a similar set up with the same soundproofing tiles on the walls. He was pleased with the look and decided that Sean would probably be grateful. Upon first discovering Sean's channel, he had bought some of the merch to support JackSepticEye and had kept it in a box hidden away from Amy. He, for some reason, thought Amy would get jealous of Sean and so kept it all hidden underneath lies. That probably had something to do with why she left him. Regardless, he placed a Septic Sam plushie on Sean's new temporary bed and gave him a plain black duvet. 

He opened the window in there for the first time in years, light erupting into the new office space. How had he not noticed a balcony in this room until now? On the right side of Sean's bed, there was a long floor-length curtain which Mark had assumed to be a window. Turns out Sean had a whole damn balcony (small) attached to his room. Mark felt himself grow a tad jealous and laughed at himself.

"Damn Mark, you didn't know this was here?!?" Bob laughed mockingly at the expression on Mark's face. Wade was covering his mouth trying to suppress a loud, inevitable laugh. Mark had flushed a deep red colour at his own stupidity.

"Of course I knew! I mean, who wouldn't!?" Mark shouted defencelessly. Wade couldn't hold it in and he and Bob exchanged glances and giggled their butts off.

Bob walked over to the bed, picking up the green eyeball plushie from the bed.

"Hah, what a stupid toy. Do you still have toys? The hell Mark? I mean, I knew you were a man child, but what the hell is THIS?" Bob taunted. It was more of a tease than trying to be cruel. He was a sweet guy and didn't actually care, but thought he'd take advantage of Mark's embarrassment. Besides, he was also curious as to what the plush was.

"I-It's nothing! J-Just a toy. A welcome gift. Uhh---" Mark was stuttering like crazy. If his friends knew he was having a male friend stay over for a few days, maybe even weeks, he didn't know how they'd react.

"A welcome gift? Who to? Your dog? Haha." Mark looked away and then stared at the plush in Bob's hands. How would they view Mark after he told them? He didn't need to.

"My friend is flying over from Ireland and I thought I'd make him feel welcome. He has a YouTube channel and has this green eye thingy as his logo. Sorry if that's weird." It bewildered Mark that, though these two followed him on Twitter and watched a few of his videos, they hadn't heard of Jacksepticeye. The two didn't seem disgusted which deeply relieved Mark.

"Wow... that's actually really sweet of you Mark. Is that why you set up this whole recording set up and stuff?" Wade and Bob were flabberghasted that Mark would spend this many thousands of dollars for a friend's holiday. Mark shrugged it off.

"Mark buddy, I'm sure he'll be grateful. Do we get to meet him?" Bob asked.

"I'm not sure. It's likely, and I'm 100% positive you'll love him. He's really funny and-" Mark cut himself off as he was about to say cute. "- and friendly.." he finished.

"Can't wait! When is he arriving?"

"T-tomorrow." Mark realised that the thought of seeing Sean in person at his house was growing ever more daunting. What if he messed up? What if he accidentally did something to upset Sean and make him go back? He was mentally impaled by daggers of negative thoughts and his stomach lurched as he feared his fate. Suddenly he didn't feel like talking anymore and his friends caught on.
