Chapter 27

Malakas na tunog ng aking cellphone ang nagpagising sa akin kinaumagahan. Humihikab akong umalis sa kama. My eyes went wide when I saw my agent's name flashing on my screen. Nasapo ko ang aking noo. Dahil sa pagpupuyat kagabi ay baka mahuli pa ako sa go-see!

"Good morning," kalmado kong bungad nang sagutin ang tawag.

"Good morning! Your schedule for the go-see was moved at exactly 10 am. See you later!" My agent said merrily.

Marahan akong suminghap. "Really?"

"Yes."

"Thanks for informing me, Chloe."

"You're welcome. Gotta hang up. See you later!"

I ended the call with a sigh of relief. I scrolled my phone to read some text messages from friends and mommy. Una kong binasa ang kay mommy dahil baka nangungumusta na iyon.

Mom:

How are you, anak? I miss you.

Napangiti ako sa simpleng mensaheng iyon. There's no message from daddy but I understand because he's busy with work and he doesn't really hold his phone that much.

Ako:

Mommy, I am fine. I miss you, too.

Inaantok pa ako ngunit napagdesisyunan kong maligo na dahil nanlalagkit ang buong katawan ko. Deretso akong natulog kagabi at hindi man lang nagpalit ng damit. I am still wearing my red dress yesterday.

Nagbabad ako sa bathtub ng halos isang oras. I came out of the shower wearing only my pink silky robe. I didn't blowdry my hair. Hinayaan kong matuyo iyon.

Habang nasa closet at nagbibihis ay tumunog muli ang cellphone ko sa panibagong tawag. Hindi ko nasagot ngunit tumunog muli iyon saktong patapos na ako sa pagpapalit.

Inaayos ko pa ang pilipit na tube top habang lumabas sa closet. Sa pangatlong missed calls ay dinampot ko na ang cellphone ko sa kama. Ethan's bored tone immediately greeted my ears.

"I'm already outside your condo. Mind opening the door for me?"

I gasped. Nakalimutan kong ihahatid niya pala ako ngayon!

"Alright. Wait up!"

I immediately turned my phone off. I'm already dressed with a pink sweetheart tube top and dark jeans. I groaned as I walked my way towards the door, bare-footed. Isang pasada pa sa corridor ang ginawa ko habang binababaan si Ethan. I descended the stairs and opened the door for him.

"Hi!" Isang ngiti lang ang ibinigay ko sa kanya bago nagmamadaling tumalikod para bumalik sa taas.

"Oh, wow! Good morning to you too." He sarcastically said.

I stopped and turned to my heels just to flash him an apologetic smile, medyo guilty na hindi ko man lang siya binati ng maayos sa pagmamadali.

"Good morning! Uh, upo ka muna sa couch. I still have to put some make up on. I'll be quick. Sorry!" Sabi ko at iniwan na siya doon.

Bumalik ako sa aking kuwarto. I hurriedly tried to put some diamond studs in my ears and some lip gloss. I stopped midway and questioned myself in the mirror. I applied some foundation and cheek tint to add some color on my face. I smiled softly at my reflection. A few spray of my lavender perfume and i'm done.
