Chapter 36 - Time paradox

Warm summer air hit Origami in the face and she opened her eyes.

They were standing in back alley.

"Welcome to another timeline" Y/N smirked "You might drop that jacket of yours and maybe something more"

"Do you have any clue where are we?" Origami took off the jacket and threw it away.

"You make it look like there is no return" Y/N commented "Do you know where we are and where to go?"

"I'll figure it out" Origami looked around "How much time we have till spirit appear?"

"Not much if you--" Y/N was cut off by huge explosions caused by a laser "...Nevermind, stay close to me"

"Thank you Y/N..." Origami smiled at him "...For everything"

Bright light surrounded her and mecha materialized around her.

"Origami!" Y/N tried to grab her, but she got airborne.

"This is presonal. But if I fail, please finish what I started" Origami looked at him for last time and flew away, heading towards two figures on sky.

"Damn you Origami!" Y/N mumbled as he pulled out his phone and dialed someone.

"Lothric transport service, what we can help you?" Woman picked up the phone.

"I need gargoyle NOW" Y/N ordered.

"Sir gargoyles are reserved for VIPs only, you would need to contact my supervisors..." Woman tried to explain.

"I AM YOUR SUPERVISOR!"

Origami tried to reach two fighting spirits, but they were too fast for her.

"F*ck!" Origami cursed and stopped chasing them "I need to do something..."

She zoomed at one of spirit wearing white dress and her hear stopped for a second.

"What... Is... This...?" She mumbled shocked and she heard weird sound above her.

She looked up and before she could react, the gargoyle with Y/N on him grabbed her and started diving towards the ground.

Gargoyle suddenly pulled up near the ground and landed in one of craters made by laser in middle of a playground.

"Do you had deatwish or something?!" Y/N jumped off gargoyle back and it released Origami.

She fell down and slowly got up, shaking the whole time.

"You saw it, didn't you..." Y/N sighed and she grabbed him by collar.

"What's the meaning of this?!" She shouted at his face "Why that spirit looks like me!"

"Because it's you Origami" Y/N grabed her hands and forced her to let go of him.

"Lies!" She took step back and pointed gun at him "I want know who killed my parents!"

"Origami... You are the one that did that"

"No..." Origami looked at him with shock and disbelief "It's not true... IT'S NOT TRUE!"

She deactivated her unit and ran towards her parents house.

Gargoyle was preparing to fly after her, but Y/N stopped him.

"Let her see it..." Y/N looked at corner she disappeared behind "...She need to..."

Origami ran down the street and finally saw her house behind the corner.

'Mother, father, I'll save you this time!" She ran past the corner and freezed.

She saw her parents face and back of her younger self. On opposite side of street was a boy in her age that looked familiar to her.

Boy looked at her surprised and their eyes meet for a brief moment, before something above caught his attention.

"MOVE AWAY!" Boy shouted and pushed away her parents.

The time slowed down as the the laser disintegrated the boy and headed towards her, nearly hitting her parents.

She felt strong grab on her waist and someone pulled her out of laser way.

Everything became bright afterwards.
