"I'll pick you up at 10, be ready", Collin shouted from his car while driving away. I had the whole day to myself. I sat in the living room enjoying the silence, I loved being alone. After making myself a glass of wine I quickly went to my room and started playing some music. Etta James, At last. That was truly art. I went down and sat on the piano accompanying the song. I guess if mankind could have flown, the feeling would be similar to the one I was perceiving in that moment. Every time I heard Jazz or played it, I could feel how everything just started to become lighter and more pleasant. The weight I was unknowingly carrying in my heart suddenly disappeared. I guess it was my little heaven in this hell I was living in.

But I didn't wanna risk being late so I started at least doing something to prepare for tonight. After staying under the shower for a good half an hour and shaving I went into my mom's room and looked at her jewels, hoping to find something that suited the occasion. After looking for quite some time I decided I was gonna take the round golden earrings and a little golden necklace with a little golden star as a pendant. I then took "My brilliant friend" from my library and started reading with the music still in the background.

When I looked up it was already 9 pm. I put the book quickly down and started getting ready.I straightened out my hair, put my push-up bra, the red dress and lastly some heavy makeup on. When I finished the last touches it was already 10:10. I checked my phone but Collin hadn't called yet. I took my fake ID and my mobile phone, put it into my little purse and then waited for him to show up. At around 10.30 he then texted.

I'm here.

I checked my hair one last time and then rushed downstairs.

(I would recommend you to stop listening to the song since the theme of the chapter is changing)

"Why were you so late?" I wasn't mad or anything just curious since he normally never was.
"I just told you I would come earlier because I knew you would be late as always." I rolled my eyes. I'm not always late. Not always. We drove all the way to the club. It was the most famous in the whole city. Many celebrities were spotted at the Moonlight club. Some rich entrepreneur bought it some time ago and since then, the club had earned a completely different spotlight. "You look good," Collin said timidly. He always had been a very sweet guy. I smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek.

When we arrived I stepped outside of the car looking for Dean. After a few minutes, a Corvette C6 Grand Sport pulled over and everybody turned around to see who was driving it. I knew who it was of course. Mummy's little boy stole daddy's car. Dean came out of the car, smiling like he owned the place, with his Ralph Lauren shirt and his long island jacket. He then saw me and screamed: "There you are sweety!" This was so not necessary, like everything Dean did. I smiled and went in his direction. He put his arm around me and we went together to the entrance while everyone was staring at us. The game could start.

We went through the VIP line and then gave our fake ID to the bodyguard. Collin had hacked before in the server and chose randomly two people on the Vip guest list and I then made the fake ID's. Collin was essential to the plan. Dean and I were the soldiers on the battle field, he was the General who controlled the troops.

I clung onto Dean's arm and smiled at the Bodyguard. He starred at me with his intimidatory look but I kept smiling as if everything was normal. He then gave us our IDs back and moved aside so we could go through.

While going in I started shouting: "Are we gonna get some champagne soon, love? I'm so thirsty." Dean kissed me on the forehead and answered kindly: "Of course, anything you want".
Faking being some spoiled rich kids who were together planning on throwing away their money, was our routine. We did it every time. Nobody would have predicted what we had in mind, which was exactly what we were going for. We sat on the table in the VIP section, ordered some drinks and started talking very loudly about the new bag I wanted to buy or how many cars Dean had. I stroke Deans brown short hair and laughed like only a really dumb stupid girl would. I enjoyed playing the part of the stupid rich girl more than I wanted to admit though. I liked the feeling of being someone else. Lying to myself telling me this was all true. I could forget about all my insecurities and just be a stupid beautiful girl, with her childish and egocentric boyfriend.

I looked at him enjoying his drink and the evening. Dean and I were really good friends, even if it didn't seem like it. We were the same. Two arrogant people, who thought too much of themselves and behaved like the world was meant to give us everything we wanted. He made everyone believe he was so secure and confident. I knew who he really was though, I could see right through his act. But I understood why he did it. If you would have taken his arrogant manners and his tone of superiority he always had, he was left with nothing. Just like me. It's easy though to build on nothing. That was why it was easy for us to fake being someone else.

We decided after a while it was time to start. We stood up and went to the dancing floor. It was crowded with people but we could fit right in. I started looking around trying to analyze the surroundings. After moving a little bit to the side I saw, well guarded with a bodyguard, a door. I pointed in that direction and Dean nodded. He then slowly went there and started talking to the bodyguard. I observed and slowly moved closer, waiting for the right moment to come. Suddenly Dean kicked the guard in the stomach and then started running away. That was not the plan, fuck. The guard ran after him. Why didn't he stick to the plan?! I wasn't sure what to do next.

I decided I had to risk it and run to the door. It was open thank god. But that meant somebody was coming back and I had to hurry. I stepped in what seemed a very glamorous office and looked around. I went for the desk, opening all the drawers. One was closed. I took the golf bat that was in the corner and tried smashing the drawer with it. Shit shit shit. This was auch a bad idea. I could get in so much trouble. My body was shaking and I could barely breathe.

After hitting it 5 to 6 times it finally broke, I kneed down and I tried taking what was inside. An envelope. Envelopes were always good. There was often money in envelopes. I took it out and I was right. God was that a lot of money. I stood up, cleaned my dress from all the dust and looked inside it again. How could I even fit all that money in my little purse? Ugh, I hadn't thought this through. But my thoughts were quickly shot down when I heard the handle of the door slowly going down. I looked around but there was nowhere I could hide.

Fuck.
