It's hard trying to be perfect.
Y/n wasn't anywhere near perfect, actually she was a complete mess. She's had her hardest, toughest days.
Having a long distance relationship didn't help either.
It's hard coming back from a long day at work and having no one to help you, no one to comfort you, no one by you're side.
Today was one of the harder days she had to live by, one of the hardest actually.
Y/n got fired from her job as a bar tender all because one of her male costumers wanted to get her number, but her response was a no because she had a boyfriend. He just threw a tantrum, trying to get her number even if she denied until to the point when he asked for the manager. Basically she got fired because she wouldn't give a stranger her number, weird right?
Now she was unemployed, and stress. How the hell was she going to pay for her rent?
It wasn't only the fact that she got fired that made her day terrible, something much worse had happened.
Y/n's younger sister sadly passed away from brain cancer.
Y/n got the call right after she's been fired from her job. Much to say, she was a mess.
Y/n's sister meant everything to her, she was what made y/n who she was today. Y/n remembers the time where they would make friend ship bracelets, the time where they would go to the mall together, their sleepovers that lasted until 3 AM. Sleepovers were the best night they spend together, they even had a schedule/plan for everything. First they would paint each other's nails, gossip, talk about boys, then they would watch scary movies.
She also remembers the time where Jaeden met her sister for the first time. Y/n's parents invited Jaeden over for dinner to get to know the guy a little better. At first everything went well, until y/n spoke up.
"Daddy, can you pass the salt." And before her dad even touched the salt, Jaeden grabbed it and hands it over y/n without realizing what was going on. Her sister busted out laughing while her parents glared at him.
Much to say they had the best memories together, and for y/n to let all of it goes kills her.
As she is currently sobbing in the corner of her bed, her MacBook was in front of her as she looked through pictures of her and her sister from the past, large amount of wet tears rolled down onto her cheeks from her eyes.
A FaceTime appeared on the screen of her MacBook, the contact name was 'Jae'.
Y/n didn't look in her best condition right now, not that she even thought she had a good face or body. Y/n was a insecure girl, she felt as if she wasn't good enough for Jaeden. But her sister helped coat with her insecurities, telling how she was a 'beautiful best sister'. Her insecurities starting going away but as soon as her sister is gone, they rosed back up. Her hair was in a messy bun, she was wearing Jaeden's hoodie and her Nike athletic shorts, not to mention the fact that the massacre running along her cheeks from her eye lashes.
She didn't want him to see her like this, like a mess she was. He'll probably leave as soon as he sees her like this, like a insecure little girl.
But she picked up the face time anyways.
His face appeared at the screen, smiling because of the fact that she picked up. His smile started fading fast, faster then how a leopard run.
Jaeden could've sworn his heart dropped when he saw her, she was still beautiful to him but he hated to see her sad.
"Awe baby, what happened? Why are you crying?" Jaeden asked, concern laced in his voice, unaware of the reason why y/n was sad. She hadn't told him at the time, she knew that he had other things to worry about and she didn't want him stressing over her.
"I'm sorry you have to see me in such a ugly state, but today has been hard for me."
"Y/n, you're not ugly. You're the prettiest, most beautiful girl I've seen on the inside and the outside. Now tell me why you're sad."
Her heart stopped, her insecurities flown away. She sworn she loves him. Even if her day was dark, he'll always find a way to make it bright.
"First I got fired from my job, but something worse happened. My sister died." Y/n said as she cried a little harder.
He stopped speaking for a little while, leaving the room to be as quite as a library. The eerie sound of her crying in pain.
"Uh, I have to go." He said as he hung up, leaving her crying along in her room.
•••
Till the next morning she was still crying, the pain didn't feel any better. Actually if felt worse, even since he hung up on her.Y/n doesn't blame him though, even if she didn't like what he did. She understood him. Who would want to hear a insecure girl cry over her dead sister? Especially when she looks like a mess herself.
Y/n walks down to see a little bouquet filled with white roses on the living room coffee table.
Not only was the bouquet in a vase, there was a bright blue envelope on the table, next to the vase.
Y/n picks it up and opens the envelope.
Dear Y/n.
You're so fucking beautiful, even when you cry. Last night was hard for me, especially watching you cry. I'm sorry about what happened with you're sister, she was great, almost as great as you. I miss her too, probably almost as much as you miss her. I can't do much to make you feel better, but I hope the bouquet of roses will. I'm sorry for not being there with you, even if I wish I could right now. I may not be there right now, but I will in a few days.
Love, Jaeden.
