GuHai looked at BaiLouYin, seeing him fully dressed in military uniform. His handsome awe-inspiring self-standing right next to him. GuHai's eyes stung intensively. The eight years of misery began to spread to the bottom of his heart, devouring his every nerve and internal organs.

With GuHai's burning eyes fiercely glaring at him, half of BaiLouYin's face became painfully numb. He wanted to make up a lie, make up a reason to tell GuHai that this military uniform was not his, but that he borrowed from somebody else. Just then, an air force soldier came in, "Major, why are you hiding in here?" These words sent BaiLouYin into an abyss beyond redemption.

BaiLouYin gloomily turned his face to the direction of the soldier and faintly said, "You go first, I'll be there shortly."

"Then you hurry, we're waiting for you," the air force soldier said before leaving.

BaiLouYin steadily calmed down his emotions. With an indifference look, he turned toward GuHai, "What a coincidence, you are here too?"

GuHai mercilessly said, "Why didn't you tell me that you're in the military? Why did you conspire with others to deceive my feelings? First telling me that you are dead, making me live through two years of hell, then telling me that you went abroad. I went looking for you all over the world, watching my hopes getting destroyed each time...Do you find it amusing to torture people?"

BaiLouYin's cold demeanor concealed the pain in his heart. "I never conspired with other people to deceive you. Whatever they want to say, it's their freedom. I never manipulated anything from behind. I've just lived my own life."

"Live your own life?" GuHai sneered. "Then you must have lived quite well. I admire your strong heart endurance and your ability to devise strategies."

"Yes, my heart is especially strong." BaiLouYin's look became cold. "So you can stop slandering me, I will just laugh it off as joke, the only one feeling hurt, is you."

"Really?" GuHai menacingly replied "Then tell me, why did you join the military? Why did you choose this form of suffering rather than go abroad?"

"That's my freedom. I don't want to go abroad, what does it matter to you?"

"Major Bai, you dare say that you didn't join the military because of me?" GuHai's cool voice intensively demanded, ruthlessly hitting BaiLouYin in the heart.

"Why would I join the military for you? What reason do you have to support this preposterous assumption?"

"Must I point it out to you? Initially, my dad forced me to join the military. I adamantly refused. The only way that could make him dispel that thought is, if you joined. Once you joined, he definitely would not force me in order to completely separate us. Isn't what I said right?"

BaiLouYin smoking a cigarette, softly said, "You really think too much."

GuHai took the cigarette from BaiLouYin, then put it in his mouth and started smoking, "Did I think too much or you pretended too well?"

"Is there a need for me to pretend? You go out to the street and randomly ask any bastards, who wouldn't go if they got selected into the Air Force? Because you're the son of a Major General, I joined the military cause of you? Besides, your dad is so powerful, even if we were to join the military, it would be so easy for him to separate us! Don't you think that your assumption is too hard to believe?"

"The one that is hard to believe is you!" GuHai retorted. "Don't forget, you are also GuWeiTing's son. You joining the military will stabilize his foundation. His load will be lighter, which naturally will loosen my limitations. BaiLouYin, if you didn't originally think this way, I will write my name backwards!"
