Chapter 74 - Yinzi Messes With Old Zhou

When the troops arrived at the secluded enclosed training base, it was already the middle of the night. Many of soldiers were asleep nesting in the vehicle. BaiLuoYin sat behind the driver. Once the vehicle arrived at the training base, he turned his head toward the dozens of soldiers and ordered loudly, "We've arrived at the training base. Get up. Don't sleep anymore."

The driver in the front was shocked by such a loud and clear command. Having sat in the vehicle for such a long time, how could he still be so alert?

BaiLuoYin stood outside and watched as each soldier got off the vehicle.

LiuChong was the last few to get off. Seeing BaiLuoYin standing at the car door, he very consciously quickened his steps. Once he got off, he hurriedly chased after the troop.

BaiLuoYin pulled him back.

Since GuHai almost killed him last time, this little officer had been keeping a distance from him.

"Are you still holding a grudge?" BaiLuoYin's rare soft voice asked.

LiuChong smiled over-cautiously, "I would never hold grudges against you. When I first enlisted in the military, if it wasn't for you who took extra care of me, my life would have been very hard in that year. During this period of time, I've thought about a lot of things. I was a bit selfish. I always thought that I was showing concerns for you, but on the contrary, I've cause you unnecessary trouble."

BaiLuoYin slightly narrowed his eyes and looked at LiuChong, "Lately, you haven't been showing up because you've been thinking about these things?"

"No, not really ..." LiuChong scratched his head in embarrassment. "I've been working hard to make up for those missed trainings. If I didn't make the most of it, I likely wouldn't have been able to participate in this mission."

BaiLuoYin nodded. "That's right. It's good to be motivated."

LiuChong realized that BaiLuoYin seemed a bit unusual today. His eyes are glimmering with high spirits emitting this bright radiance in the middle of the night. It was as if this journey was not exhausting. His whole body is full of vitality.

"Xiao Bai, are your people all here?" came a distant voice.

BaiLuoYin patted LiuChong's shoulder, "It's good that you don't hate me. We'll talk again when there's time. Go back and get a good rest!"

After he finished talking, he ran toward the few people not far away.

Sometime after 2am in the morning, after the all the soldiers' sleeping quarters had been arranged, ZhouLingYun stood tall and straight in the flight control tower. His eyes stared into the vastness of the night, at the entire area, the training field around him exhibiting a majestic beauty under the endless sky. Not far away, dozens of fighter aircrafts were lined up, waiting for action. ZhouLingYun's heart had a faint trace of excitement.

Suddenly firm footsteps came from behind him. The strong rhythmic footsteps revealed a person with over enthusiasm.

ZhouLingYun was secretly surprised, besides his crazy self, who else would not be sleeping but instead came here to marvel at the training base? All along, ZhouLingYun have been regarded as a flight lunatic, very few people can understand his frenzy.

"It's really beautiful!" a surprised voice sounded from behind him.

ZhouLingYun's stature became cold. Why did this person's voice sound so familiar? He looked back and it is actually BaiLuoYin! This was too unexpected for ZhouLingYun. How could this be him? Usually no matter what the mission is, no matter where they are going, as long as there's a stopover, BaiLuoYin is certainly the first one to fall asleep. What is wrong with him today?
