The Doctor and I sneak into a room to find a presentation on the laptop, the Doctor walks over pressing play.
"The most precious thing on this Earth is the human brain. This is the ultimate upgrade. Our greatest step into cyberspace."
"Cybers" the Doctor whispers, he grabs my hand and go to meet Rose, we find her and we all walk over to the window.
"It's happening again" I say.
"What do you mean?" Rose asks.
"We've seen them before" the Doctor says.
"What are they?"
"Cybermen" the Doctor and I say as the Cybermen smash through a series of French windows on the other side of the room surrounding the guests, that's when the President's phone rings.
"Mister Lumic... I forbade this..."
"What are they, robots?" Rose asks.
"Worse than that" I reply.
"Who were these people?"
"They're people?" Rose says.
"They were, until they had all their humanity taken away. That's a living brain jammed inside a cybernetic body, with a heart of steel. All emotions removed" I say eyeing the Cybermen.
"Why no emotions?"
"Because it hurts."
"I demand to know, Lumic. These people, who were they?" the President pulls the phone away from him.
"We have been upgraded."
"Into what?" I ask.
"The next level of mankind. We are Human point two. Every citizen will receive a free upgrade. You will become like us."
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what's been done to you, but listen to me. This experiment ends tonight" the President says.
"Upgrading is compulsory."
"And if I refuse?" the President asks.
"Don't" the Doctor says.
"What if I refuse?" the President asks again.
"I'm telling you, don't" the Doctor says.
"What happens if I refuse?"
"Then you are not compatible."
"What happens then?"
"You will be deleted" the Cyberman puts its hand on the President's neck and electrocutes him. The Doctor grabs mine and Rose's hands then start running, the Doctor spots a window and we all jump through it.
"There's nothing we can do" the Doctor says.
"My mum's in there!" Rose shouts.
"She is not your mother! Come on!" The Doctor pulls the two of us with him when suddenly a row of cybermen stop us from running across the lawn, the Doctor skids to a stop and turns around and runs the other way, that's when Pete comes out through the window.
"Quick! Quick!" Rose shouts, Pete follows them.
"Pete, is there a way out?" The Doctor asks.
"The side gates. Who are you? How do you know so much?" Pete asks.
"You wouldn't believe it in a million years" I reply as more Cybermen chase us.
"Who's that?" Rose asks, pointing to two figures that were making their way across the lawn.
"Get behind me quick!" The two figures fire their guns at the Cybermen but the bullets bounce off them, the advancing Cybermen stop.
"I thought I'd never see you again!" Rose says hugging Mickey.
"Yeah. No offence, sweetheart, but who the hell are you?"
"Rose! That's not me. That's like the other one" Mickey say.
"Oh, as if things weren't bad enough, there's two Mickey's" the Doctor says rolling his eyes.
"It's Ricky."
"But there's more of them" Mickey says.
"We're surrounded" Rose adds.
"Put the guns down. Bullets won't stop them" the Doctor says, that's when the other guy starts shooting, I stop him.
"No! Stop shooting, now. We surrender! Hands up. There's no need to damage us. We're good stock. We volunteer for the upgrade program. Take us to be processed" I say.
"You are rogue elements."
"But we surrender."
"You are incompatible."
"But this is a surrender."
"You will be deleted."
"But we're surrendering! Listen to me, we surrender!"
"You are inferior. Man, will be reborn as Cyberman, but you will perish under maximum deletion" the Cybermen hold out their arms towards us "delete. Delete. Delete!"
