(Alec's POV)
The date went great. She loved it and I got to express my feelings for her. She stared at me and after a while she said
"I love you too, Alec."
I wanted to make her mine in that second, but I don't know why I didn't. I kissed her. My lips melted against hers, and her beautiful brown eyes looked into mine and I felt, complete.
I forgot about everything. I forgot about Jax. I forgot about my mom. I forgot about my dad. I forgot about everything. I only felt her body against mine and it was exhilarating. I got addicted to the feeling of her against my body. I was so hungry for her touch and I wanted more.
After the kiss we drove home. In the car I snuck so many kisses from her.
There was a point where I pulled over and we made out in the middle of the highway, laughing and smiling between every kiss. I loved her. I wanted her to be on me every second, but that was impossible. My work always got in the way.
"Alec?" She whispered.
"Yes, my love?"
"Why do you do the things you do? We could've lived a normal life." She asked.
"I don't know, princess. I saw how successful Jax was, so I followed him. And now we're the most powerful gangs in the world."
"Are you proud of that?"
"Well, yes. Yes I am. I worked hard to get to where I'm at."
And with that she adjusted her dress and got into the passenger seat and asked me to take her home.
"Sometimes I do wish I had a normal life." I continued.
"Then why don't you quit."
"It doesn't work like that babes. I can't just quit. That's like treason."
She sighed and stared at the road, and I didn't hear a single word from her until we got home.
I carried her out of the car all the way to my bedroom. We undressed together and we laid down in my bed half naked.
I turned on my TV and we watched old classics, sneaking kisses and laughs in between.
"I'm sorry I brought you into my life, Lena. You don't belong with me. You're innocent and this lifestyle is so dangerous. I promise to protect you."
"I didn't know what I was getting into with Jax." She said. "But if I never got involved, I would've never met you."
"I love you, Lena."
"I love you too, Alec."
Her angelic voice replayed in my head as she drifted to sleep next to me. This girl is my weakness. The love I have for her is so strong. These past days were filled with all types of emotions, love, and lust.
It almost made me forget that Jax was on his way to take her from me.
