PART 27........This New Life

Jax's POV

I saw my life as if I had already lived it. Defending this new gang and living this life that I didn't want to live. Cypress and Courtney began dating and Oscar came out as gay. Roger was constantly in his room and I haven't seen Lena in weeks. Logan was never home and Brenden was out living his life, and I stood helpless waiting for someone to change the sadness this new life brought me.

I decided to pay Lena a visit since I haven't seen her in a while.

I knocked on her door and there was no response.

"Lena?" I asked walking into her room.

I walked around. I saw picture frames of her and Alec. There was one of her and Cypress. Right beside it was one of her and Courtney, along with one of her and April. She looked absolutely beautiful in all of them, but the one with her and Alec really caught my eye, not because of her but because of Alec. He was smiling and holding her tightly by the waist. They were standing in front of a beautiful gazebo. My brother really was happy with her. He really did love her, but so did I. I loved her first.

That's when I heard faint humming from one corner of the room. Lena has her own private bathroom at the far end of her room. The door was open and there was soft piano music playing.

I walked in and I saw Lena drying her hair with a towel wrapped around her. Water dripping from her face and hair. She had no makeup on. No revealing clothing. No high heels. Not even any hair products. Yet she still managed to look incredible.

"Jax!" She yelled. "What are you doing in here?" She screamed.

"I'm sorry, Lena! I was just checking to see if you were ok." I told her. "I haven't seen you in a while. I-I just wanted to see you. I'm sorry" I said softly.

"It's ok." She laughed. "It's been hard without everyone here. Cypress and Courtney live together now. Roger rarely ever comes out of his room. Oscar, Logan, and Brenden are never here. It's hard. It's like the whole family is breaking apart. I just wish we could be closer." She sighed.

"I know, Lena. I wish the same thing. I wish everything could just go back to normal. I- I wish we were back to normal." I whispered.

"We?" She asked.

"Lena, I know falling in love with someone new is gonna seem impossible. I want to be there for you. After all, I loved you first. I want to help you. I still love you, Lena. It's ok if you don't feel the same way, I completely understand if you don't. I just don't want you feeling alone. I haven't seen you in weeks. I just missed you." I huffed.

She looked at me with her big, beautiful, brown eyes. She put her hand on top of mine.

"I still love you too, Jax. I'm still not over the fact the Alec is really gone. I heard what he told you. That I was the best thing that ever happened to him. I also heard his last wish. I'm so happy you love me, Jax, but I have to heal on my own first. I- I just don't what to do." She shook her head and looked down. I saw one single tear fall down her cheek. I wiped it off and raised her face so she could look at me.

"I understand you, Lena. Love doesn't fade. I will still be here when you're ready. I don't want to rush you or make you feel uncomfortable. I just want to be there for you. You don't have to heal alone." I held her close to my body. I realized I can't make her fall in love with me just by talking. I need to do more. I need to love more. I need to listen more. I need to become Alec.

Not really a good chapter, but sadly writers block has struck me again :((( but I'm trying so hard to get through it. I also have some very important news: this book will be ending soon. The finale is slowly approaching, but.... if you guys want a part.2 to the book, leave some suggestions in the comment section! I would love to continue the story of Lena and her new life in a gang. I will try my best to continue writing but the publishing of chapters will be coming sporadically. I'm not enjoying writing as much as I did when I returned from writers block, so I will be taking a short break from the book to perfect the last few chapters. I love all of my readers!
