<OST: I Can't (못해) - Solji>

Jisoo sat on her bed, mechanically packing up all her things. She may have been physically there in her room... but her mind wandered. Packing up all the things in this house reminded her of the past - of the good times she had back in university, the friends she missed, and... most importantly, they reminded her of him.

And she missed him so freaking much.

Jisoo felt like she was about to cry

Jisoo felt like she was about to cry. Not one day had passed since that day that she had stopped thinking about him. She regretted being too cowardly to say anything to him before he left - not even one word to bid him farewell. If only she had replied to his message then, would things had turned out different? If she had told him exactly how much she cared about him and that she needed him by her side, would he have stayed? But thinking about that was all pointless now.

It was all too late.

Looking down at the photo frame she had kept on her night stand all these years, a wave of emotions rushed over Jisoo. Gently lifting hee hand to caress the photo of the two of them, Jisoo's eyes welled up with tears. It was the one and only photo they had ever taken together - one that was taken during some global-warming awareness campaign involving a large penguin mascot. They looked so happy there - awkward, but happy.

Jisoo stared at the big black garbage bag under her table, already filled to the brim with stuffed toys, books, spoiled stationery - things she knew she no longer needed. Somehow moving to a new house made her feel like there was a need to get rid of things of the past that no longer mattered no her. But there were some things that she would never - she could never - get rid of, and anything related to him fell in this category.

Knock. Knock.

Jisoo swallowed hard and hurriedly put away the photo frame into the box next to her

Jisoo swallowed hard and hurriedly put away the photo frame into the box next to her. She already knew exactly where the photo frame would go in their new house - on the night stand in her new room. That way, it would be the first thing she sees in the morning when she wakes up, and the last thing she sees at night before she goes to bed. That way, she'd never forget him - she didn't want to.
