Taehyung did not have many friends.

The number of people he was friends with could be countable by using the fingers on one hand. From elementary school until this point, Taehyung only ever had Jimin and... a couple of acquaintances Jimin introduced to him and... that was it.

Unlike his usual joyful demeanour, he was someone who instinctively pushed people away. Jimin didn't become his friend with much ease either. Jimin was just like Jisoo - back when they were in elementary school, Jimin kept following Taehyung around school to the point that it was stalking.

But growing up in a family without a mom and with a dad who never showered him with any love, Taehyung wasn't used to someone following him around everyday and telling him all the time how much he liked him. This newfound attention soon grew on Taehyung, and he began opening up his heart to Jimin. It wasn't long before they soon became best friends.

But after Jimin, Taehyung had never met anyone else quite like him. With his good looks, plenty of people wanted to befriend him over the years, but none of them really persevered through when Taehyung gave them the cold shoulder. Soon, people stopped trying. But Taehyung was fine with that, since he never expected to be loved by anyone anyway.

That was, until he met Jisoo.

"Kim Taehyung! Kim Taehyung!"

Jisoo ran into the tutorial room excitedly. Her eyes lit up the moment she saw Taehyung seated near the back, and she started making her way towards him as fast as she could. Taehyung hurriedly shoved the piece of paper on his table he had been randomly doodling on under his pile of books.

"How did you know I was here?" Taehyung asked, smiling unnaturally at Jisoo as she took a seat opposite him.

"I don't know," Jisoo said with a giggle as she tried to take a peek at what Taehyung was doing. "Maybe Jimin-ie told me."
