"That's right, Jisoo unnie!" Jennie said loudly as she threw the box she had in her hands on the floor. "You thought well. You can't let just one person ruin your whole life, can you? You may have taken a long time to get over him, but it's never too late. It has been over five years, it's time to let go."

Jisoo pursed her lips as she moved quietly, setting down her bag in the middle of the art room.
"I'm so glad you decided to take part, unnie," Jennie changed the topic immediately, after realising that what she had said might have come across rather... insensitive. "You haven't painted in so long, I thought you had given up. But painting a wall mural for your alma mater? That's insane! I just know you're gonna do an amazing job, unnie!"
To be honest, Jisoo hadn't intended to take up this offer the school had given her either, but what happened in the past few days was like a wake up call for her. Seeing how her parents suffered for her sake, and also how she almost ruined her best friend's wedding, Jisoo was even more determined to get back on her feet once more.
And seeing her ex-schoolmate Jeon Jungkook together with his fiancée Park Chaeyoung a month ago, Jisoo was inspired. That guy... he was two whole years younger than Jisoo but already had a girlfriend whom he had already proposed to, had bought her current house for investment and was now moving to a new house. He sold the house at a cheap price to them because he had apparently bought it at an even lower price than that a few years ago...

Basically, he already had his entire life together at such a young age, and that made Jisoo feel like she had to do something about hers. She had spent the past few years working as a part-time curator at an art museum and a full-time Kim Taehyung misser... she needed to wake up. She could still miss him, but it was time to do something productive with her life.
After all, that was what he would have wanted her to do.
Jisoo flashed Jennie a grateful smile. "Thanks, Jennie-ya."
