i'm screaming!!

it's the end of yet another fic... i'm sad and happy at the same time HAHAHA you guys give me so much happiness and encouragement all the time with your beautiful comments... thank you so much for your support yet again! <3

this story was in my drafts for close to a year to be honest, because i had the thought of writing about the past and the present at the same time, but knew that it'd be really difficult to execute, so i really put off writing it for quite a while! but after finishing hsx2 and having vsoo as one of the couples, i thought it'd be appropriate to write a vsoo fic next, since that's what i did with yoomin after hsx1 :-)

about the plot, i was highly inspired by this chinese drama i watched called "where the lost ones go", about two lovebirds who got together in uni but lost contact later on and reunited many years later. it's a rather typical drama trope, but i do feel that that drama really captured the emotions really really well, i really enjoyed it a lot. you can check it out if you like, it's a great watch :)

one of the main themes of this story were of course the contrasting family backgrounds between jisoo and taehyung. to be honest, that's the main problem of the whole story actually, because of jisoo's dad's business, she got engaged to seokjin. and in contrast, because of taehyung's dad's debt, he was forced apart from jisoo for years. the two contrasting family backgrounds also shaped the personality traits of the two characters i tried to portray in this story.

jisoo took on a more direct and outgoing character in this fic as compared to how i have written her in the past, like in heart signal x 2 and the transfer student. in this fic, she has a bold personality and is not afraid to be different from others - and that's the reason why she chased taehyung with so much gusto. however, this personality of hers had a stark change after taehyung left, and we can see a hint of it coming back near the end, when taehyung was back.

taehyung, meanwhile, barely had any friends despite his jovial outer appearance. jimin was pretty much his only friend, and it really hurt a lot for him as well when taehyung left. he was used to being alone, but then jisoo came along and turned his whole life around. he pushed her away at first, but soon her jovial personality rubbed off him and he soon found himself drawn to her. however, the incident with his father drove the two apart, and he never had a chance to tell her how he felt about her until many years later. taehyung also was highly cautious about everything he did because of his circumstances. he always thought carefully before he made promises, but he eventually fulfilled all of them he made, despite doing so five years later. at the end, however, he promises jisoo easily that they will always be together from now on, which indicates that that is something he is determined to achieve. yesss we love some good character development ;))

seokjin's personality was a rather patient and kind one, yet at the same time he was willing to do anything in the name of love. seokjin's relationship with jisoo had been established since they were children, so when they were engaged, it made sense that jisoo wasn't upset with him or anything, and they were still friends. but seokjin loved and was highly protective of jisoo, and that's why he tried his best to split her and taehyung apart, which he ultimately succeeded at doing, but it wasn't completely his fault either. he also helped jisoo's parents to lie to her that her dad had done dishonest things to his dad just so he could guilt-trip her into keeping him by her side as well... which was a rather jerky move. jisoo choosing to forgive him or not, was also left as a question mark, which the in-story jisoo will have to decide on. i'll leave that to my readers' own imagination ;)

i think that pretty much summed up the whole story and what i wanted to say HAHA i doubt most of you bothered to read any of that but if you did, i guess you now have a little additional insight to what went on in my head while writing this fic! o...

i think that pretty much summed up the whole story and what i wanted to say HAHA i doubt most of you bothered to read any of that but if you did, i guess you now have a little additional insight to what went on in my head while writing this fic! oh another thing was also that jisoo seemed heavily handicapped by the lack of taehyung in her life, which may seem cruel on my part, but that's precisely how life works. some people vanish from our sides abruptly with no warning, and many people are left devastated and at a loss of what to do. what's most important is that we treasure the people by our sides for as long as we can <3

that brings me to the end of my... 5th...? 6th?? 6th! my 6th fic, wow. in 2 years, that's pretty alright imo. will be starting on my 7th fic in a week or two, perhaps. it's gonna be a kooku fanfic, with seokbyul, yoonnie, chunghope and some lowkey chunghope. i'll update here once that's out, so tune in if you're interested! if you like my style of writing, do check out my other stories linked in my profile as well and leave votes and comments on the stories/chapters you enjoy!

thank you so much for your support, please take good care of yourselves and till next time, goodbye!
