Your POV, the Lakeside home
It was the day after happy had taken you to Tony's home and the night after Morgan had absolutely insisted you slept in her room with her.

Your eyes peacefully opened as the sun shone through the gap in Morgan's curtains, you looked up to Morgan's bed to see if she was still asleep but to your surprise the bed was empty. Your brain suddenly clicked, remembering what day it was.... Tony's funeral.

You sighed knowing it would be a sad miserable day yet memorable one. You got up and walked downstairs to where you saw Pepper dressed in her simple black dress while frantically running around the house trying to get everything ready, while Happy was trying to calm her down.

"Pepper just tell me what you need help with and I'll help you" Happy says in a calm tone trying to get his point across. "Happy I don't need your help it's okay" she says her voice beginning to crack as if she was about to cry. "You can't do this alone Pepper" Happy reply's as you quietly step down the last step and sit yourself next to Morgan who was eating cereal on the sofa. "Well it's not like I exactly have Tony here to help do I!" Pepper yells as tears start furiously running down her face, her knees buckling under her as she lands on her kitchen floor, her tears becoming uncontrollable.

"Pepper" You say as you run over to her, embracing her in your arms trying to comfort her. "I've been trying s-so hard" she says as you nod your head, "to control m-myself, for Morgan, f-for you, for h-him" she says more tears running down her face as she thinks of him. "I know" you say as you stroke her hair, trying your best to comfort her. "But I-it's hard you know" she says as you grab a tissue from the tissue box happy brought over and pass it to her, motioning Happy to go and comfort Morgan.

"Thank you" she mumbles as she seemingly puts herself together, slowly standing up. "I'm sorry y-you had to see me like that" she says as she wipes her nose with the tissue you had given her.

"No it's okay" you smile  your hand on her shoulder in comfort. "I bought you a dress for the funeral... it hanging up in Morgan's closet" Pepper said as she looks you in the eyes giving you a soft smile before hugging you again. "Y-you should go get changed... everyone will be here soon" she smiles as she lets go of the hug and walks over to Morgan picking her up and whisking her off to the backyard.

"Will she be okay?" You ask Happy keeping your glance on the warm hardwood floor so he wouldn't see your tears eyes. "She'll get there... she has people to look after her" happy reply's his voice soft knowing you where upset. "G-good" you mumble before walking up stairs to get ready for the funeral.

As you walk into Morgan's room your feel the tears you tried so hard to keep in fall down your face. some people say you feel better after you cry... after you let it all out. But you knew that was not the case in this circumstance.

You spot a picture of Morgan and Tony on Morgan's nightstand. He had her in his arms while she had her arms wrapped around his neck and was kissing him on the cheek, it was beautiful.

You placed yourself on Morgan's bed, picking up the photo and holding it in your hands. A smile appeared on your face.. followed by more tears.

"G-god I miss you" you say as if he could hear you, more tears running down your face as memory's of him flash through your head. "We all miss you" you say managing to let off a small smile. "Every inch of this house is filled with memory's of you... a-and it's hard, t-to process that you're gone" you say somehow feeling better talking to the imaginary tony in your head.

"I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me.. for all of us... for the world" you exclaim as you see a small face peek out from the door. "Your sad" Morgan mumbles as she comes and plonks herself next to you on the bed.

"It's okay to be sad.... daddy told me that" Morgan says as she gazes up at her ceiling. "A-are you gonna be okay?" Morgan asks as you smile. "Awh Morgan, yes... yes I'll be okay" you say as you wrap an arm around her resting your head on her own.

"But there's one thing I don't understand" she mumbles as you glance down at her with a smile. "And what's that?" You ask, "why did Daddy die? I don't get it" she says as you sigh wondering how you where supposed to explain it. "Your daddy was a very brave man... truth is he saved the world.... from someone very evil.... your daddy had to die in order for the world to live" you sniff a small tear escaping your eye as Morgan nods seeming to partly understand.

"Do you want to know something?" You ask her as you turn yourself around so that your body is facing her. "Okay" she says looking up at you. "When I was sick and having a long sleep to recover, I saw your daddy, he came to me. Told me that he was happy... happy that you now get to grow up" you explain noticing Pepper standing at the door smiling at your little story.

"He said he was proud of you and that he loves you very much and misses you.... he said he wished he could spend more time with you and watch you grow up.... and he wants you to know that he's watching over you... he's protecting you and will always have your back no matter what" you finish explaining, the small 4 year old grinning happily.

"so he isn't technically really gone?" Morgan mumbles fiddling with her hands in her lap. "No, he's still alive in here" You say pointing to her heart as she smiles up at you.

"I think that's going to make me cry" You hear someone say as you turn your glance to the door to see Peter standing there, a grin on his face. "Peter" You say as you get up and hug him happy to see him. "I'm happy you're okay" he says pulling over from the hug to look at you. "You should get ready for the funeral" Pepper says to you as she puts a hand on Peters back, "I'll meet you down there" Peter smiles as you nod, Morgan following them out of the room.

You head into Morgan's closest and pick up the simple black dress, it consisted of simple lace sleeves and the rest consisting of a simple black linen fabric falling just above the knees. You then went into the bathroom and applied a small amount of make up and quickly brushed your hair before making your way down the stairs.

You noticed everyone apart from Pepper, happy and Morgan where outside so your made your way out there managing to say hello to most people before the funeral started.

In all honestly the funeral was beautiful, Tony's life had meaning to everyone and it really showed. You tried your hardest to stay tear less during the ceremony but that proved unsuccessful.

You missed him.

You really missed him.

After the ceremony was completed you made your way inside and found a comfortable window seat away from everyone, as you flipped through the picture books of tony. You needed time to yourself, to think... to process.

"Hey there.. y/n right?" Someone asks as you look up to see a boy about your age possibly a bit older hold out his hand. "Yes that's me" you say taking his hand and shaking it. "Mind if I sit?" He asks pointing to the free spot beside you. "Go ahead" you say giving him a small smile.

"My names Harley" the young man says as you nod placing the picture book beside you. "You seem to be pretty popular.. everyone seems to talk about you a lot.. I assume you have someone to do with the Avengers" he says as he smiles looking down at a picture in the picture book of a boy standing next to tony holding what looks to be a potato gun.

"You could say that.... tony was like... the father I never had I guess" you say not wanting to give away who you actually where. "I guess that's the same with me... back in 2013... when I met him... he made me a happy kid" Harley smiles, "is that you?" You ask pointing down at the picture Harley was looking at, "yeah that's me" Harley replies his eyes glimmering with tears.

"That's a quality looking potato gun" you say letting out a small chuckle.

"Tony insisted on making me a better one" Harley chuckles as he examined the photo.

"Oh I'm not surprised" you say as you both share a laugh the memory's of tony in your head.
