Forgiveness means letting go of the past
This is one of my favorites. I chose this song because I always thought it represented not only Sam's journey, but also where she felt she would always stand in the end.

Sam never thought her future would lie beyond the borders of camp half-blood, and that if it did it would be because she fell in battle. She had no interest in the outside world. Her friends, however, she knew would move on even if she didn't. All but Luke, who she thought would at least stay a bit longer than everyone else, but instead she lost him to Kronos
There's a great unknown from you to me

So put your faith in the devil and the deep blue sea
Put your trust in the light that you cannot see
After Luke died, Sam started to consider her own future more, but still couldn't see anything beyond camp half-blood. Th only thing she knew for certain was that see would see Luke again.
When you can't go round and you can't outrun
What lies behind, what stands in front
Through the broken gates of kingdom come
I will see you again when the night is dawn
She thought the battle was over, but then she started dreaming about Apollo, Percy disappeared, and they found Jason who led her, Piper and Leo on a new journey.
I can see the lighthouse through the smoke
Everything is lost, I know
Underneath the roaring of the storm
I can hear the breaking of the dawn
Can you see the broken rats of light
Caught into the dead of night
And I know that I'll see you again
For Sam, Where the shadow ends, can be determined as the end of her journey. The question is, who will be waiting for her when she gets there, and just what end will her journey have?
