"(Y/N)-CHAN!"

"(Y/N)-CHAN!"

(Y/n) sweatdropped at the lively sobs of her upperclassmen.

"I was so worried about you! I'm so glad you're okay!" said Hado, squeezing her tightly.

"So tragic! So awful! And to think your first instinct was to protect your senpai, no, practically your best friend!" Mirio fell on her bed dramatically, half on the floor.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly say that, ahaha," (Y/n) chuckled nervously, looking to the side. This wasn't anticipated, but now she had to handle this until she was discharged in a few hours.

"You're so brave! We're so lucky to have a cute and strong kouhai like you following our footsteps!" Hado blew into a tissue.

"Well said, Hado!"

(Y/n) was tense, unsure of what to say. Being praised was nice, but it's not like she particularly risked her life or anything.

"It-It's not a big deal. Amajiki-Senpai pretty much did all the work, I was just the one that got hit by the quirk." She suddenly beamed. "Hey, that rhymed!"

"Still," Hado finished sniffling, then sat up properly in the chair. She smiled. "It's heart-warming to see you care about your friends so much, (Y/n)-Chan. Tamaki must be really important to you."

Mirio flopped to the side, now more attentive, but didn't say anything as he gave a relaxed smile.

(Y/n) tried to laugh again. "Eheha. As much as anyone. Eah."

Mirio opened his mouth. "By chance. . . Do you-"

Oh no.

"You have a call!" said a nurse, poking her head in the room. "(L/n) (Y/n), right?"

The three blinked. (Y/n) nodded, "Yeah."

When she followed the nurse to their phones, the kind you see in movies, she was handed it and anxiety flowed through her. She gulped.

"Hello?" she began uncertainly.

"(Y/nnnnn)~"

Oh don't tell me. (Y/n) slumped her shoulders.

"I heard from the hag that you were in an incident on your internship. Is that true?" said the one on the other line, this time with more worry.

(Y/n) sighed. "Yeah, but it's fine, mom. I didn't get hurt and I'm going back in later today."

"That's such a relief. I was worried it might've been about your incompatibility with your. . ." She gave her own sigh. "When was the last time I saw you? Two months ago?"

"A year ago," (Y/n) corrected.

"Right, of course. I was thinking it's time I come up and pay a visit, shouldn't I? You did so well in the Sports Festival, too, I'm so proud!" her mom gushed.

Ah, so that must've meant her mom watched her after all. That, or her grandma reported it after seeing her granddaughter come home with that 1st place medal, which she barely commented on.

"I'm sure your dad would be too."

(Y/n) stayed quiet. Maybe he would've been. Maybe he wouldn't've.
