ELIZA BENT OVER the map which was laid on the wooden table, she'd been there for at least an hour, just studying the notes and recordings of Caspian's voyage. She found herself smiling with pride as she read about how the Narnians had colonised neighbouring lands.

"I thought you'd be out on deck." Caspian spoke up from the doorway, as the girl glanced up towards him.

"I'm just catching up on what I've missed." Eliza said wistfully, turning another page of the ships logbook.

"Well stop." The older boy demanded, closing the logbook, "There's no need to torture yourself over your absence."

"I know, I know..." Eliza huffed, leaving back in the chair and stretching out her stiff limbs, while the older boy bit into an apple, his head tilted in thought.

"If I may ask- How are your brother and sister?" Caspian asked curiously, as he took another bite out of the fruit.

"Well they're both out on deck talking to crew-"  Eliza began with a mischievous grin, making the older boy throw a small compass at her head, which she caught before it could hit her.

"You know what I mean!" Caspian groaned in exasperation, as he pulled up a chair beside the girl. "How's Susan?.. and Peter, of course?"

"Susan is..." Eliza faltered, unsure whether or not to tell Caspian of Susan's consul boy, "She's good, so is Peter. We haven't seen them in quite a few months...but they send letters."

Caspian nodded, "And you?" He asked earnestly, gesturing towards the girl.

"I'm home, I couldn't be happier but..." Eliza sighed, "This time feels different and sometimes different isn't good."

"You don't know whether it will good or not until the time comes. The future is the only thing can be unpredictable." Caspian said, looking at his friend as she rolled her eyes with a laugh.

"Wow- look at you getting all philosophical!" Eliza teased, making the older boy get up and walk over to the corner of the room.

Caspian chuckled and threw her, her sword, "How about a bit of practice?" He asked with a mischievous grin. "Let's see if you can actually remember how to fight."

Eliza got up off her chair and pushed the boy, "I never forgot." She said firmly with a smirk, as Caspian tilted his head.

"LISTEN UP Old man... it's not to late to back down" Eliza grinned as she held her sword above her head, while Caspian stood opposite her, the two soon becoming the crews entertainment.

Caspian made the first move, and their two swords clashed together, Eliza tucked an arm behind her back; as did Caspian. The girl swung her sword towards Caspian who parried, the swords once again hitting against each other. The older boy spun his sword, swinging it over Eliza's head, as she ducked right on time. The girl immediately swung her sword by his feet, making him jump off the wooden deck, before she recovered and swung for him once more.

Noticing Edmunds amused face, Eliza grinned mischievously, while Caspian and her battled, she spun her sword, its hilt causing Caspian to become unbalanced, Eliza used this time to turn on her heel.

"Ed! Catch!" She called out, throwing her sword at her brother who caught it in his hands, Eliza ducked quickly before Edmund swooped in and began to take offense against Caspian.

Eliza grinned madly as she took a gulp of water, that a crew member had given her. She leaned back into ledge, closing her eyes, letting the sun shine down on her face. The girl lifted her head to notice the boy's both holding their swords at the others neck.

"You have grown stronger, my friend." Caspian chuckled, as the two dropped their swords to their sides.

"Or you've just gotten weaker, Casp" Eliza joked, as she joined the two boys with a smile.

Her brother glanced at her before looking back at the older boy, "Seems I have." Edmund replied, answering Caspian, and handing Eliza her sword back, which she sheathed right away..

"Alright!" Drinian bellowed from the steering wheel, making everyone look up at him, "Back to work."

"Edmund, Do you think if we keep sailing to the end of the world, we just...tip off the edge?" Lucy spoke up, as Edmund and Eliza joined her off to the side.

"Don't worry, Lu." Edmund chuckled, as he took a glass of water from a crew member. "We're long way from there."

Eustace stormed towards them, with a sour face. "I see you're still talking nonsense." He spat bitterly.

Eliza rolled her eyes, "Are you feeling better?" Lucy worriedly asked, while the boy leaned against the wood.

"Yes, but not thanks to you." Eustace replied, "It's like I have an iron constitution."

"You're effervescent as ever I see." Reepicheep spoke up, perching beside Eliza's shoulder, "Found your sea legs?"

"Never lost them. It's just given a shock of things." Eustace said defensively, "Obviously have the acute disposition, due to my intelligence."

Eliza snorted with laughter while Edmund choked on his water. "I don't think he has "acute" anything." Reepicheep whispered to the older girl.

"I'll have you know as soon as I find civilization. I'm contacting the British Consulate." Eustace informed them, making Eliza once again roll her eyes, "Having you arrested for kidnapping." The younger boy stormed away and collided with someone.

All went silent and Caspian looked down at the boy, "Kidnapping is it? That's funny." The older boy answered with a solemn expression, "I thought we had saved your life."

"You held me here against my own will!" Eustace yelled, waving his hands in frustration.

"Did I?" Caspian asked now becoming amused by the young boy.

"You kept me in the most unhygienic quarters" Eustace complained, going red in the face. "It's like a zoo down there!"

"He's quite the complainer, isn't he?" Reepicheep spoke, making Eliza turn to the mouse.

"He is just warming up." Eliza chuckled, folding her arms as they watched Caspian and Eustace argue.

"Landho!" A man yelled down at them, making everyone snap their eyes to the left where the figure of an island danced on the horizon. Eliza looked towards Caspian who had bounded you the stairs towards Drinian. They'd finally spotten Land- maybe things were looking up for once.
