Two hours after the Sergeant's plots were exposed, the group of four found themselves back at the Agency. (Y/n) grabbed her bag from the desk she barely used that day and walked towards Fukuzawa's office.
With a gentle knock, she slowly opened the door which revealed the President and Miss Haruno enjoying some tea.
"Sorry to intrude, I can come back later."
The President held up a hand and said, "Nonsense, please join us. Haruno, a cup?"
The bespectacled woman nodded and grabbed another cup from a china cabinet to the side of the room. She brought it back and poured (Y/n) some tea before saying, "Careful, it's a little hot."
(Y/n) smiled to the kind woman before she said, "Thank you."
Yukichi took a sip from his cup before he asked the girl, "Is something on your mind?"
(Y/n) followed in his steps and sipped from her own cup before she said, "Actually, yes. Where does Atsushi stay right now? He doesn't have a guardian, so I'm worried bout his living arrangements."
Haruno cleared her throat before she said, "I think I'll give you two some privacy, I'll be at my desk if you need me, President, (Y/n)."
The gray-haired man nodded before saying, "Of course. Thank you, Haruno. Now, about the boy. He is staying in the Agency's dorms as of now, but I believe you already know of this. Is there something specific about his arrangements that bothers you?"
(Y/n)'s eyes drifted off to the side as she said, "Ahh, not necessarily... I just... I was thinking about letting him spend a few days with me at the Heights. It's a high-security apartment complex and of course, I will be there so he will be safe."
Yukichi held his ever stoic expression on his face before he simply asked, "Why?"
(Y/n) avoided eye contact with the man before she said, "I think you know why... I see myself in him, and I want to help him to stop blaming himself for things."
Yukichi smiled softly at the woman before he said, "You should know it will take more than well-thought words to get through to him. You still have doubts to this day, correct?"
She nodded before she said, "But I am much better than I was before."
Yukichi took one more sip from his cup before he asked, "And if the Port Mafia decides to attack? What will you do?"
(Y/n) finally made eye contact with the man before she said, "Easy, I'll have database constantly screening the cameras around the building for any known mafia faces. If any come close, I'll contact the Agency immediately. But that is also assuming the Mafia follows us in the first place."
The man thought over the proposal before he stared into the woman's eyes and asked, "You do know what I'm going to say, correct? That this is exceedingly dangerous for both you and the boy?"
She nodded her head to which he said, "Then tell me, why did you even ask?"
She shrugged her shoulders and said, "I guess I just wanted your opinion, or maybe even approval? I wanted to know if it was a good idea..."
"Truly it is a terrible idea, but I know you won't listen to me and you will ask the boy over anyways."
She rolled her eyes as she stood to her feet and set her empty cup on the coffee table infrot of her. She stretched her arms above her head as she said, "I just want him to feel more comfortable. I've known about the Agency's craziness for years before joingin as an agent, but he is suddenly being thrown into a world full of gifted people and it's definitely going to take a toll on him. You saw the toll it took on me in the past. This world full of abilities is terrifying to us normies."
