Sequence 14: Everything is Permitted

No one's POV,

Midnight

It was late in the night. Y/n and Aaron were in a forest far away from the city of Vale. The two didn't speak a word during the drive to their objective. Y/n was deep within his thoughts as Aaron was focusing on driving in the dark. From where they were they couldn't even see Beacon's towers due to how tall the trees surrounding the area was. When they got within walking distance to the objective, the two got out of the car below and walked the rest of the way.

Right now they were walking up a long stone trail on a small hill. Aaron lead the way as y/n was behind him, walking slowly as he stares at the stone trail he was on. The trail lead up to a large house.

Crickets were heard chirping in the distance as the two walked.

"Haven't been here in a while." Aaron mutters, mainly to himself.

"Me too..." Y/n replies weakly. It was pretty obvious from his tone that he didn't want to be here.

A few minutes later the two had made it to the entrance of the house. The two stopped in front of a pair of massive front doors. They took a moment to stare up and study how tall this home was. It looked to be almost four stories tall from where they were standing.

Aaron couldn't help but whistle when seeing the size up close. "Damn...I nearly forgot how big this place was."

"..." Y/n zones out as he remembers his early years being stuck in this place.

Aaron turns his attention to y/n. Seeing him spacing out made his curious. He gently taps y/n's shoulder to snap him out. "Hey, you doing alright?" He asks.

Y/n turned his head towards him, slightly startled. He tried keep a straight face and shrugs. "I-I guess... Why?"

"You seem distracted by something, y/n. What's on your mind?"

Y/n looks nervously at Aaron before shifting his gaze towards the building again. He sighs heavily. "It's...it's just that I'm not really fond of this place...that's all."

Aaron studies y/n for a moment. He eventually pulls out a key from his pocket and used it to unlock the door. Y/n raised his eyebrow in suspicion.

"You had a key-?"

"Derek letted me borrow it." Aaron spoke calmly. "I'll return it to him tomorrow."

"..." Y/n doesn't respond. He just simply stands still and watches Aaron enter the house.

Aaron noticed y/n wasn't moving, so he motioned for him to follow with his shoulder.

"Come on. Let's get this over with. Remember; Endure and survive."

"...R-right..." Y/n cautiously enters the home after closing the door behind him. He sprints after Aaron as he didn't want to be left alone.

"You think you know where your father is?" Aaron asks as he looks over his shoulder.
