No one's POV

It was late in the afternoon the next day. Y/n was in his regular clothes with his mother's necklace around his neck. Him and Aaron were in a bullhead, on their way to Beacon. The two were silent as Aaron was messaging someone on his phone and y/n was sitting quietly in his spot, deep in his thoughts.

After a little while the bulkhead lands. The two made their way towards Ozpin's office. As they made their way there the two could hear a few people whisper about y/n. Y/n felt uncomfortable about the conversations but Aaron told him to just ignore them.

After a few minutes the two made it to an elevator to Ozpin's office. They were silent the whole way up. A few more minutes later the two reached the top of the building. They step out of the elevator and saw Ozpin sitting behind his desk, smiling when he saw the two enter his place.

"Hello, y/n, Aaron." Ozpin spoke welcomingly as he leans on his desk. "It's been a while."

Aaron didn't look happy as y/n looked nervous upon stopping at the center of the room.

"Ozpin..." Was all Aaron said.

"Hey..."

Ozpin waits for either of the two to continue talking. But seeing as they had nothing else to say, he spoke up. "So, what brings you two here? You've decided on an answer?" He turns his attention to y/n.

"Yeah...I have." Y/n nervously rubs his right arm with his left.

"Good. What is your answer?"

Y/n was hesitant on answering. He looks at Aaron in confirmation as the latter nods to him. Y/n lets out a heavy sigh before answering.

"I'm...I'm not coming back."

Ozpin's happy expression drops. He frowns for a brief moment before looking confused. "Might I ask why not?"

"Seriously?" Aaron steps in, ready to shoot him on the spot. "You remember what you've-!"

Y/n stops him when he puts his hand on Aaron's shoulder. Aaron looks at him angrily but stops when he saw y/n's face showed some reassurance. Aaron hesitantly steps back, still not happy. Y/n returns his focus back to Ozpin with a firm look.

"Two days ago my father told me a bit about the Creed. Including you and the entire staff being apart of it."

"..." Ozpin leans back in his chair, showing an unreadable look on his face.

"He also told me that you've been ordering the teachers to ignore all the times I've been bullied at this school."

"That's correct." Ozpin says forcefully while nodding slowly. "You're father told me everything that...transpired that night."

"Then you should know how I feel about you and the school right now."

"I...can only imagine." Ozpin said truthfully. "I understand how this new information might change your view on this school and everyone in it. But that doesn't mean you need to drop out, y/n. You can still-."

"I can't." Y/n interrupts. "I need some time away from all of this. To think. To figure things out and my future. My whole life has changed ever since you've sent me on that mission last year, and I'm still not used to it."

"...." Ozpin remained silent for a moment. He eventually nods, understanding his point. "I don't blame you. The last couple of months must've been very difficult for you. Learning of and becoming a new Assassin isn't easy."
