Chapter 52- lies i tell

• Jade's POV•

I let the hot water go done my skin as I still felt my throat burning wanting to cry. I re-played the event seeing so many opportunities that I could have died.

If it wasn't for my quick thinking I wouldn't be here.....if I hadn't hit them on their head I would have been unconscious or even dead....

I put my hand on my throat where I know there was a bruise. I tighten my grip on it a little and felt a small rage built up.

" You're fucking weak for that" I mumbled to my self

I gritted my teeth and sighed heavily.

I'm sorry I failed you.

• Noah's POV•

We were all in the living room as jade was up stairs taking a shower. I paced back and forth feeling the small guilt and nervousness for jade.

" Noah calm down she's alright" nick said

" Shut up! She's obviously not did you not see her? She was shaking, in fear, and not to mention she was seriously shaken up" I scoffed

" he's right...we have to stop acting like she's fine. She's definitely not" Tyler spoke

Silence then fell as it was a little uncomfortable for me to sit in.

" why are you girls so quiet? You haven't said a word?" Luis asked

"Leave her alone for a little. She needs time to think right now." Lilac said

" but we need to know wha-

" listen you still don't know jade like we do. So calm the hell down. First she saw a note saying we aren't who we say then she gets almost killed in a span of 20 hours so give some damn space...-

" not to far though. They might come back" jade spoke cutting off Cora

Cora looked back and sprinted over to her as the rest of them followed and engulfed her into hugs. Jade seemed so stiff and they all noticed.

• jades POV•

" g-girls I'm scared" I whispered to them

I was looking at the floor as Harper has her arms on my shoulders. I felt her shake a little but I didn't really pay any mind to it till I heard her sniffling. I looked up and saw her eyes watering.

" h-Hey why are you cry-

She then pulled me into a hug tightly as her grip was tightening on my shirt.

" p-please don't be. B-because then I-I'm s-scared" she spoke to me

I hugged her back tightly and smiled softly only for tears to stream down my cheek.

" I'm sorry" I said to her

I looked over at the rest of the girls and saw them almost break down as lilac had to look away.

" wait why are you guys crying!?" Nick asked worried

" it's nothing" I said to him

Harper hit me softly and pulled away from the hug and went to willow. I sighed and walked to the living room and sat down then Noah sat next to me.

" jade?"

I didn't say anything instead I just took his hand and played with them.

" jade answer me" he said again

"....I was in the room talking to my father and when I ended the call someone was out in my hall. I thought it was the girls so I got up when the door burst opened and I ran to my window...w-when they grabbed me" I paused

I could still feel their hands on my body. I could still feel the faint pain and adrenaline that had kicked in.

" don't speak more if you don't want to" willow said

Her voice was low and a little raspy..probably from holding in her cry. I shook my head and decided to keep going.

" I was pulled to them and their hand was on my mouth I was screaming and moving around...then I remembered..I've actually been through something like this before. I bite their hand and they let go I was going to leave but they grabbed me by the throat and slammed me to the ground....I-I..." tears began pour out as I shook ever so slightly

Noah pulled me closer to him and had his arm wrapped around my waist and as the other did small circles on my thigh.

" jade-

" it's f-fine....who ever it was started to put pressure and started to cut off my blood circulation and I couldn't breathe very well...I was starting to feel dizzy so I tried to reach up and grab the mask but I couldn't so my hand fell beside me and I felt something cold and it was a stapler-

" must have been there when you were moving around so much....sorry" Luis said

I shook my head as he just wanted to say what he thought.

" I slammed the damn stapler on their head and they let go and I got to here" I said as my tears stopping flowing

Noah then grabbed me tightly and heard him sigh heavily on my neck

" can you be more careful next time...we need you here" he spoke

" I-I'm sorry...I just need to take an important call and it happened" I said

" what was the call anyway?" Lilac asked sniffing a little

"...father...a-and we're getting bags of food later on"

They hummed and spread out on the couch. They acted like nothing but I knew they were on edge and scared. They're not loud, laughing, yelling, picking at each other...they're scared.

" jade I need you to take someone with you every where Okay?" Noah said

" yea I know.....I figured" I said softly

He hummed as I looked at the guys and they gave me worried looks but smiled at me. I nodded and they walked off join the girls or going to the kitchen.

" babe...." I spoke

" can we go to school tomorrow?"

" jade you still need to heal from your leg wounds and what ha-

" please it will help me" I said looking at him

" fine. Get ready to be on your feet a lot" he chuckled

" smile though the pain Duh!" I giggle

He looked down to me and smiled. Confused I pushed him a little and he chuckled

" you do that a lot don't you"

" yea but I'm used to it now...let stop being sad I want to forget..Let's watch a movie!" I smiled

" I'm Down!!" Yelled Jason

" yes I guess we are" Luis said
