Finding the Lions Part 1

Kira's P.O.V.

We enter a giant control room, with chairs at the sides. Allura then goes up to the center, closing her eyes, a light-emitting from above, " King Alfor connected the lions to Allura's life force. She alone is the key to the lion's whereabouts.", Coran clarifies as she opens her eyes. Then blue flashes out, creating stars and symbols for planets, it expands all around the room, I for sure am amazed by this," Those are coordinates", Pidged says stunned in amazement, " The blue lion and the black lion seem to be in the same location"." Look at your primitive synapses firing away in their little brain cage", Coran says, " Very observant. That's because the Black lion is in the castle." Coran then comes in, " To keep the Black lion out of Zarkon's hands, King Alfor locked it away in the castle. It could only be freed if the other five lions are present.", " As you have found, the lion's choose their pilots. It is a mystical bond and can not be forced", Allura states." The quintessence of the pilot is mirrored in their lion. Together, they form something greater than science can explain.", she then puts her hand on the map and moves it, swinging it over to Shiro." The Black Lion is the decisive head of Voltron.  It will take a pilot who is a born leader and in control at all times", the lion slowly stops at Shiro, " someone who's men would follow without hesitation. That is why you, Shiro will pilot the Black Lion.", he stood strong, taking his role without any hesitation.

She then swings over another lion, " The Green lion has an inquisitive personality and needs a pilot of intellect and daring, Pidge, you will pilot the Green lion", Allura stated as Pidge gazed at the image of the Green lion. I couldn't help but smile to see her like this, for it has been to too long to see that smile, I turn back to Allura, " The Blue lion--", " Hold up, let me guess. Takes the most handsome slash best pilot of the bunch?", Lance interrupts with a smirk plastered to his face, I couldn't help but playfully roll my eyes at my cadet. Allura looks at him annoyed but moves on to the next lion, " The Yellow Lion is caring and kind. Its pilot is one who puts the needs of others above their own. His heart must be mighty, that is why as the leg of Voltron, you will lift up the team and hold them together." Hunk then looks around wondering if she was talking to him, I giggled at his reaction but silently, not wanting to disrupt." The Red lion is temperamental and the most difficult to master. It's faster and more agile than the others, but also unstable. Its pilot needs to be someone who relies on instinct more than skill alone, Keith, you will fly the Red lion." Lance's eyes flash open, " What? This guy?", they then glare at each other, Allura then begins once again.

" Last but not least.", she then swings the map once more, " The White Lion, a person who would risk their own life for their loved ones, the one who keeps the bond between all the lions, the second in command, very determined, but can be unstable at times. That is why you, Kira Lambert, will be the pilot for the White Lion." She then sends down the lion to me, it was about the same size as the Black Lion but a bit smaller, I gazed upon the lion, excited for what is to come." Unfortunately, I can not locate both Red and White lion coordinates yet. There must be something wrong with the castle. After ten thousand years, it might need some work.", she notified, I honestly understood cause this thing is very old." Don't worry, we'll find it soon. They don't call me ' The Coranic' for nothing.", he said, a little silence went by, "It's because it sounds like ' mechanic'. So Coranic..mechanic. They don't sound the same but similar.", he continued rubbing his mustache, I couldn't help but giggle. Then our lion's roar out and fly back to the center, " Once all the lions are united, you will form Voltron, the most powerful weapon in the universe, the Defender of the Universe", Allura announced. The image of Voltron then disperse, leaving us in awe, " Whoa", is all I could say, " Wait. Okay, we're going to be in there flying those lions, got that part. How do I turn that into a leg? Is this going to be a long trip? I have to pee. Do you people pee?", Hunk rambles on.

"We don't have much time, me and Pidge will go find the Green lion. Lance, you take Hunk to find the Yellow lion. Kira and Keith you guys stay here until they locate your lions if they find it go after it", Shiro declared, I nod my head at him." In the meantime, I'll get the castle's defenses ready. They'll be sorely needed", Allura explains, Coran then steps in, " And I'll rig you guys up with a pod and load the coordinates in it to find the Green Lion". I get all pumped up for some reason, " Alright now that we got our tasks, let's go find them before the Galra get here.", I announce. They cheer back with enthusiastic 'Yeah!'. I then follow Pidge and Shiro to their pod, helping them get in, " Be careful Pidge, please", I say, going down to her height, my hands on her shoulders, worried," Kira I'll be fine, besides I promise I'll come back.", she said hugging me, we finally let go and she jumps right in. I look to Shiro with a small smile, " Now you got to be careful, we just got you back.", I say teasing, he laughs, " Alright, I'll come back", he is about to jump in, but I place my hand on his shoulder and whisper into his ear, " I truly mean it though, please come back, both of you, safe and sound, please", I let go and he looks at me, a smile on his face, " Of course Kira, I promise." He jumps in and starts up the pod, I watch as they both leave. By the time I reach the control room, they have already passed into the wormhole.
