I slapped my hands onto my face trying to hide whatever color had flushed there. That seemed to only amuse Ba Wei because I could hear him chuckling.

"This is not funny at all," I complained.

"How is it not," he chuckled out, "just look how cute you're acting." The minute I heard cute slip from his lips again I immediately got annoyed. I let my hands fall from my face and I glared at him. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Can you not call me that."

"How can I not?" A smile spread across his face as he said this and I couldn't help but push him. He seemed genuinely surprised but he only laughed in response. "Such a cute little push."

I stared at him laughing for a minute before I just began walking out of the door. Before I could open the door he grabbed my wrist. I turned around towards him.

"Let go." My voice was cold but he didn't let go.

"I'm just fucking with you. Calm down."

"I am calm," I responded instantly.

"Bullshit. You haven't been calm all through this session." My eyes narrowed and he pulled me towards him. Before he could pull me to far I snatched my hand away. "It's not my place to ask, but you're acting is horrible." He let go of my wrist and I glared at him.

"It's none of your business."

"Yeah, I know," he walked over and picked up his bag. He swung it across his shoulders and walked directly pass me, and without saying a single word he left. I'm such a dumbass.

I left the room not long after Ba Wei, but he was no where to be seen when I entered the hall way. Why did I have to snap on him like that? It wasn't him that made me upset. You can't ever do anything right.

I made my way to the far exit of the school and started my walk home. The night air was cool, and the sky was as clear as it could be in a city. I looked down at my watch and just sighed when I noticed it was almost midnight. I wonder if my father was actually in town when he called? I pulled my phone out of my pocket and clicked my tongue at how many missed called I had from my father. Twenty-three, he called twenty-three times. How Weird. I clicked my phone off, and stuffed back in my pocket. I'll call him back once I get home.

———

When I walked through my front door I raised an eyebrow. The light to my living was on, but I knew I had cut all of them off before I left. I closed the door softly behind me and sat my bag down by the door. I slipped off my shoes, and slowly walked into my living room.

"Breaking and entering is," before I could finish my sentence a all too familiar man stood up from the couch. "Father?"

"Surprised," he asked as he walked towards me? I didn't say anything, and he just sighed. "Where have you been?"

"School."

He raised an eyebrow, "At this time of night. You know lying to me won't play out well for you."

"I'm not lying. I was at a tutoring session. The school informed you about it."

"That takes that long?"

"Yes," I said as I walked pass him into my bedroom When passed him I couldn't help but smell the aroma of alcohol. "You really shouldn't drink."

"It was only one glass. I could've drunk more seeing on how long I waited for you." I pulled my uniform jacket and shirt off, and threw it in the dirty clothes basket.

"I told you that I couldn't go to dinner."

'You still could've answered my phone calls."

"It's unprofessional to answer calls when one is in the middle of doing something."

He sat down on the bed, "don't use my words against me."

"You shouldn't say them then," I responded as I walked into the bathroom. Before I could shut the door, my father shot another question my way.

"Have you taken your medicine?" I hadn't taken it today at all, but I couldn't necessarily tell him that.

"Yeah."

"You really dare lie to me?" I flinched a bit as the words left his mouth. His voice was cold, which was uncommon for my father.

"I'm not." He stood from the bed and walked over to me. He pulled my pill bottle out of his pocket. My eyes widened when it came into view. Two pills were left, and they should've been taken today.

"Why lie to me." I could feel his breathe on my face. I looked at the floor without saying anything. "ANSWER ME!" I jumped as his voice boomed through the room.

"It's my first time not taking them."

"I don't care if it's your first time. It's a reason you take them. I do not pay for them for you not to take them."

"I know."

"You obviously don't," he said as he stepped away from me. "You know what happened last time."

"YES," I yelled, "I know. I was there. I know why I have to take them." He was annoying me, and at this point I was getting angry. They are just pill. It's not like they help me, so why does he want me to take them.

"Look, I don't want to get you upset."

"To late," I said low as I closed the bathroom door. I could hear him walking around my room before I cut on the shower. I took my phone out of my pocket and sat it on the counter. I stripped of my reminding clothes and walked into the stream of hot water. I grabbed a wash cloth from the shower door and lathered it up with soap.

I scrubbed my body until I felt I was clean. After that was done I washed my hair. The water on my scalp felt nice. It took away some of the tenseness that was in my body, and for once since the day started I felt relaxed.

When I got out of the shower, it was quiet. Did he leave? I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom to an empty room. I walked into the living room to also see that it was empty. He really left without saying a word. How weird of him. I shrugged and walked back into my bedroom. I quickly dried off and pulled my hair into a bun. I grabbed my phone from the bathroom counter and crawled into bed. I plugged my phone into the charger and turned over. As sleep embraced me, my mind finally was put at ease.
