"Your grandma has died."
The words rang through my ears. No, no no! Not Grandma Terry. She is my favorite relative from my mom's side. We were really close. Now she was gone. Forever.
I cried and sulked and I felt like throwing something. My mom tried soothing me but I could clearly see she was more sad. Well of corse she is, her mom just died. We finally settled down and went to bed. I emptied my purse and grabbed my phone.
2 texts.
Jasmine-" Wanna grab some ice cream tomorrow?"
Luke-" Are you ready?"
That must have been before our date.
Me to Jasmine-" I'd love to!"
Me to Luke- 😋
I smiled and set down my phone.
I still can't believe Grandma Terry is gone, forever.
