o. synopsis

           A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS WAS THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE HALLIE KEENER'S LIFE. This wasn't to say that Hallie Keener didn't have a good life, no. She was actually very thankful for the way she loved her life but things never go as planned, and just because you have a good life doesn't mean it's perfect. Hallie had an amazing family, a mother who loved her, and a brother she loved with all her heart. Her family had always been everything to her. They never worried about their absent father, in fact she learned to make jokes about it to lighten the mood whenever asked. Her mother loved both of her children, and family was the most important thing to them.

          But it all started to fall apart with their mother's brain tumor. The family would wait for the treatments to work, praying for her to get better but no progress was made. She started to her worse until finally she passed, leaving Harley in Hallie's care. She could remember the selfish feeling of angry that her mother had left her, that now she couldn't do what she wanted, but one look at Harley and she felt guilty all over again. They were a small family, with many imperfections and she'd do anything for her younger brother. So that's what she did.

          A year later nothing really had happened. She worked and took online college classes, not at MIT like she'd previously planned but still. It was enough. That was until one day the newspapers read TONY STARK DEAD, and the so called dead man showed right up at their door — or actually broke into their house.
