Sammy's POV
We were sitting in front of my house. I was angry and that was an understatement honestly. Noah was in the hospital and I wasn't with him. I was probably the reason he was shot and I wasn't with him. My parents rushed me home and wouldn't let me even be with him.
"Get out of the car, Samantha" My dad said for the third time. I got out of the car grabbing my stuff and going straight to my room.
I was sitting on my bed for what felt like hour and hours. My parents tried to get me to come out for dinner but I refused. The clock read 11:23pm and I could hear my dad locking the front door.
I'm going to sneak out, more like runaway. I'm not a baby and I get that they want to keep me safe but I need to see if Noah is okay.
12:45am
"Please, I know the visiting hours are over but please make an exception" I said
"I said no" The reception lady said
"How is our baby, Mandy" This lady said rushing over to us.
"Mrs. Centineo, Dr. Patterson is working with him" What I assumed was Mandy said
"Are we able to go see him" She said
"The visiting hours are closed" I said
"You can go see him, Mrs. Centineo" Mandy said
"That isn't fair" I said
"Mrs. Centineo, this girl is wanting to see Noah" Mandy said and then everything hit me it was his mom.
"Oh no I'm never mind I'm fine" I said stuttering
"May I ask who you are? Why would you like to be seeing my son?" She asked
"Sorry I'm one of Noah's friends. Sam" I said holding out my hand
"I don't know who you are but I would prefer if you left. I would like only family to see him" She said
"Yes sorry" I said walking outside.
NOAH'S POV
"Mom" I said as my mom walked in
"I didn't know you would be awake, hun" She said smiling
"I'm fine, I would like to leave honestly" I said
"You were just shot, Noah" My mom said
"I know but it didn't hit anything. I'm okay" I said
"Did anyone come to see me?" I asked
"No" She said
"Oh wait there was a girl trying to see you today but I just sent her away"
"What girl?" I asked
"Her name was Sam" My mom said
"Fuck, mom!" I said
"Language" She said
SAMMY'S POV
I got to a hotel and I got in line to get a room. I can't go back to my dorm or they would know I was there. I started to look around, I know I only have enough money for maybe four nights the most but after that I should be able to go home.
"Mom, you guys don't need to be here I'm fine" I heard Grayson's voice say. I turned to see him standing at the bottom of the stairs while his parents were walking up them.
"Don't leave the hotel. Come back to the room soon" His mom said as she went up the stairs.
"I don't want to stay here with you guys!" Grayson said but they were gone.
"Gray" I said and he turned to look at me in line.
"Next" The guy at the desk said and I went up and got a room. Grayson was waiting for me.
"Want to walk me to my room?" I asked him as I walked over to him.
"I heard your parents took you home today" Grayson said as we started to walk up the stairs.
"They did but I kinda ran away so I could go see Noah but I can't go see him so I'm here" I said
"I can't go back to the campus or Michael will snitch" I said
"Plus the closed your dorm all up for now" Grayson said
"Do they know who shot Noah?" I asked
"Nope, everyone is clueless" Grayson said
"I didn't even see anyone" I said
"I wonder if Noah saw the person" Grayson said as we arrived at my room.
"Well I guess I should go back to my room" Grayson said blushing
"Do you want to come in for a little bit?" I asked
"I probably shouldn't" Grayson said
"Yeah totally understand" I said as I opened the door
"I mean why not" Grayson said and I walked in the room and he followed. I shut the door.
"I mean if you want to also there is another bed so you can stay the night" I said shyly
"I don't think that one is a good idea" Grayson said
"I can't tell if you are just playing the field or like what you are doing" Grayson said
"What" I said
"I'm going to be truthful with you but I can't tell if you are with Noah or Micheal" Gray said
"I'm with no one" I said
"You just seem like you like to play both of them and I like you a lot but I don't know if I want to be in that drama" Grayson said as my phone started to ring. I looked to see Noah calling me.
"I'll talk to you later, Gray" I said opening the door for him to leave.
"Fine, Sam" Grayson said leaving and shutting the door on his way out. I picked up the call.
"You came to visit me" Noah said softly
"I did, Noah" I said smiling to myself
"I wanted to let you know that I'm okay" Noah said
"You aren't okay" I said
"Did you see who shot you?" I asked
"No, I didn't" Noah said
"What is going on in that head of yours?" Noah asked
"I'm going to find out who it is" I said
"Hell you aren't" Noah said
"Noah, listen I need to fine out who this person is" I said
"I need you safe so I won't let you" He said
"But that person shot you because of me and Theo and all of these problems and I can only stop it" I said
"I would take hundreds of more shots just to make sure you are safe, Sam" Noah said
"But you shouldn't have to because of my problems with Theo" I said
"I want to and I will" Noah said
"If you are doing this then I'm with you" Noah said
"Thank you" I said smiling
"Also come visit me tomorrow. Sorry for my mom but I want to see you" Noah said
"I might have told you were my girlfriend so she said you could come see me tomorrow" He said
"Okay, I will be there tomorrow" I said
"Good" He said
"Goodnight, Noah" I said
"Goodnight, beautiful" Noah said and I hung up the phone with a big smile
