I rub at my eyes, stifling a yawn.

"Kayla? What is all this?"

I whirl around. "Did I wake you?"

Robert shakes his head. "My alarm did. It's seven." He says.

"Already?" I pull back my sleeve and look at my wrist. "Where's my watch?"

"You don't wear a watch."

"Well I should." I say.

"Yeah...now what is all this?" Robert asks, looking at all the papers and torn magazine pages strewn around the living room.

"Okay, so over here we have the available prime spots in March, but I also looked into what's available at the end of June, specifically our anniversary on the 31st,"

"June doesn't have thirty-one days."

"Right, yeah! But umm. . . if we go with March, it won't be too hot or cold, so we could do an outdoor ceremony with an indoor-"

"Did you get any sleep last night?" Robert interrupts, shuffling through some papers.

"I used some of my old travel articles to find some really good locations, and I printed out some cater company menus. And potential flower arrangements. And invitations." I continue.

"Honey, did you sleep?" Robert repeats.

I shake my head. "Uh no. No, I couldn't sleep, so I didn't. I just sat here, remembering that sad and hurt look on your face, and then I was on my laptop and this happened" I gesture around.

"Let's get you to the couch, you're swaying."

"Oh whatever, I stopped noticing when everything started to blur." I say dismissively.

"Couch!" Robert turns me around, walking right behind me.

"No! That's where the invitation ideas are and cake topper things I printed out!" I plant my feet.

"Why?"

"I ran out of room on the coffee table and the dinner table." I say.

"So I'll move the stuff." Robert says.

I sigh. "Babe, help."

"What?"

"My legs don't work." I say.

Robert lets out a groan, ending in a sigh, then sets one arm around my waist as he lifts me off my feet. "Bed it is."

"Robbie, baby, no! There's still things I need to do and look up!" I whine.

"Sure, if you can tell me what they are, you can work." He says, carrying me to our room.

I let out another whine, my head resting on his shoulder as he nudges open the door with his foot.

"Sleep." Robert sets me down on the bed, pulling the blankets over me as he kisses my forehead.

Hello, I am trash!
Joking, obviously. But I am though. I honestly didn't know what day it was until I woke up to my mom blasting an Easter service on the TV while my dad made breakfast (which he only does on holidays) so uh happy Easter, or Passover, or whatever you call it!

Sorry I haven't been updating, 1. I forget what day it is because quarantine is a bitch and 2. I am so swamped with school work.
So, I will, temporarily, be updating biweekly.

Fun fact for anyone that actually reads my lil blurb notes down here, the middle name I used for Kayla, is actually my middle name! I am so creative!

Also I wanna give a shout out to another Starkid writer, local_starkid_trash they have an awesome one shot book, I highly recommend it. If you like my shit, you'll more than likely love their work.

One last thing, I found some old stories I wrote, so if any of my readers like Newsies, or Dear Evan Hansen (tbd if I'll do my Hamilton one) get ready because I will have some good stuff comin at ya soon.

Okay, that's it from me, love you, thanks for the reads and likes
Stay safe out there

Xoxo
