Headcanon |16|- Tattoos?

(Updated 2022 - Changed to be styles instead of specific tattoos)

Kai- American Traditional Style. He loves the thick, bold lines art and the dark shading of the classic American tattoos. The American style of tattoo is unique to itself but also often overlaps with the Japanese traditional style

Kai definitely has a few patchworks of the American-Japanese traditional crossover style, and a few of just the American traditional. He's definitely drawn to the more colorful pieces but none of them have deep meaning to him. It's not an overly commonly used style nowadays and he likes to think it's something more unique to him.

Jay- Illustrative Tattoos. He doesn't have many, but when he gets one he's gonna make sure it fits his style. Illustrative tattoos can be very minimalistic but also beautifully done with line art and creative colors. He also tries to make sure that his tattoos have meaning to him if not to any body else.

Zane- Minimalist Tattoos. I'd actually be surprised if Zane could even get tattoos and I don't think he'd want more than one or two. He'd definitely go with a minimalist style; he doesn't want anything to big, bold, or flashy (unlike Kai-) Like Jay, he would make sure they have meaning to him and think long and hard about how they could apply to or represent his life.

Cole- Patchwork Tattoos. He absolutely cannot stick to a single style to save his life. So instead, he would totally cover his arms in whatever style, tattoo, or image he thought was cool or had meaning to him. Anywhere from trad. American to Celtic to negative space, I'm sure he has one or has at least thought about it in every style.

Lloyd- Traditional Asian Tattoos. (I say asian instead of specifically Chinese/Japanese because the styling to the tattoos seems to overlap quite a lot.) Lloyd definitely admired this style of tattoo from afar and then, when some of his friends got tattoos, it was kind of a realization like "oh yeah, I'm kind of an adult now". He definitely puts thought into his tattoos but not to the same extent Zane does.

Nya- Sketch/Black and White. She has one of the most unique tastes in her tattoos. A lot of them can be seen a weird or disturbing, but they're definitely a different. She really enjoys the roughness of the sketch look and minimal-to-no-color for a harsher look. A few of them have meaning, a lot of them are there just 'cause they look cool.

Morro- Negative Space/Neotribal. I don't have a specific tattoo in mind as much as I have a specific style (or two). Negative Space Blackout or a newer tattoos style that has been called "Neotribal". He definitely has his arms tattooed in an interesting combination of these negative blackout patches and these sharp, spindly neotribal patterns. It's very unique to him and interesting to look at, mostly for the aesthetic rather than a deep meaning.
