Mulla Makes A Decision

Getting ready

Next morning Mulla comes after bath to the kitchen. She is in a wonderful mood. How could she not be?  Her husband had a guy who hardly talks much just told her he loved her last night. She is overjoyed.

Dhanam notes the happy expression with a smile. She gives a cup of tea to her. Mulla takes it distractedly

Dhanam- Ena iniki ore santhshama iruka?? Ena yosnanai?

M- Ah.. Athu.. athu.. akka... neraya naalku aparam kalayathala iniki friends la paka poren ila athan.

Kathir and her usually have tea together in their room. She loves talking to him in the morning right before he leaves. They talk about work usually. He discusses his day ahead with her. Tells her the jokes he shared the day before with kumaersanan mama or saravanan. He talks about the problems in the shop sometimes tells her about some troubles he is having with customers. It is their private time for a few minutes and she loves it. Mulla pours one more glass of tea and taking both the cups in hand She is about to leave. She had been doing so for the past few days.

Dhanam mindvoice- Thenamum tea kondu pona pothe namaku therijirkanum. Gavanikama vitututome.. Seri ipa Konjam ootuvom.

Dhanam- Athu yarruku..

M- Avhalaukku.. Avahaluku kuduthu varen ka.. Kadaiku kelambitaha..

Dhanam- Kathir ka.. Na kuduthukaren.. unakum avankum than sandai aache.. Nee itha kudi..

Mulla blinks for a second not knowing what to do. She really wants to go talk to him before he leaves for the shop.

M- Akka.. Sandaya.. Apidilam onum ila.. Na tea kudukaren.. Avaha kita kalyanathuku epa varanum ipave solidren. Ilana marathuduvaha..

Dhanam- Athu vena na solidren. Na sona kepan vera..

M stammering a little- Ila akka.. athu vanthu.. Na avar kuda.. tea kudutha...

Dhanam feels a little bad for teasing her..

Dhanam- Hmm puriyuthu puriyuthu.. Seri seri po.. Un mama kudaye poi tea kudi...

Mulla leaves blushing a little. She goes into their room. Kathir is getting ready.

M- Enaga tea.

He takes it from her smiling. He had been waiting for her. Having gotten used to sharing this time every morning.

K- Evlo maniku receptionku kelambanum??

M smiling and happy he bought it up without forgetting-  5.30..

K- Seri na anju maniku vandi eduthutu vanthuren. Ne ready aaidu..

M- Seri.. Unga sata pantlam iron pani vechudlam ila??

K- Athan Utharavu potutiya.. Pani vei..

M hurriedly- Ila. Pudikala na vendam. Venum na veti kuda potu konga.. na..

K- Unaku na pant pota pidikum ila.. Athu pothum. Na potukaren.

They chat a bit more and then he leaves for the shop. Mulla is busy all day with her daily chores and also ironing clothes for them. She really is excited to be meeting all her friends after long. She is getting ready by 5 when kathir comes in. He stares at her mesmerized she is in a blue saree.

M- Correct ah sona time ku vanthuthinga. Ena apidi pakaringa..

K- Semaya iruka..

He comes closer and pulls her on to him and starts kissing her neck. She is laughing

M trying to push him away- Ena panringa?? Time aaguthu.. Kelambunga.

K not really wanting to stop- Oru pathu nimisham late ah poi kalam.

She finally manages to push him back.

M- Enaku ungala pathi theriyum. Pathu nimisham nu soli Oru mani neram aakiduvinga..  Ipidiye neram aagidum. Aparam reception ku pona mathri than. Poi kelambunga.

K with mock anger- Ivlo azhaga munnadi nina?? Purushan kita irukumbothu Reception reception nu athaye sollu. Po di romba panra..

Mulla goes over and hugs him..

M- Kova padathinga..  Neraya naal keychu en friends ah  paka poren nu santhoshama iruken. Please kelambunga..

K- Seri night pathukaren. Intha poo vangitu vanthen. Vechuko

She takes them from him and he smiles and goes to get ready. Soon mulla and kathir come out into the hall. Meena and dhanam are sitting chatting.

Dhanam- Kealmbitanglaala.. Rendu perum nalla irukinga. Mulla podava super azhaga iruka.. Illa da kathiru?

K without thinking- Ava epavume azhaga thane anni irupa..

All three ladies look at him in shock. Kathir looks slightly embarrassed. Dhanam just then notices his watch.

Dhanam- Ithu ena puthusa?? Watchlam..

K- Athu anni.. Iva than vangi kudutha..

Dhanam surprised- Ithu epa.? Ena vishesham..

M shyly- Chumma than akka. Ivaha kita watch ilaye nu vanginen. Pona vaaram than vanginen.

Dhanam- Hmm enaku theriyamale enanamo nadakuthu.. Nadathunga nadathunga.

Both look a little sheepish.

K- Seri Anni naaga kelambarom..

Meena and dhanam exchange looks after they leave.

Meena- Ena ga watchlam kuduthurkanga mulla. Rasi aitanga poolaye..

Dhanam- Ama meena aparam mulla thalala poova gavinichaya. Kathir than vangitu vanthan na pathen..

Meena- Mulla konja nalave thaniya neraya sirichanga.  Apave yosichen.. Hmm... Etho ponga. Kathireh matitaru. Intha jeeva epa maraporno??
