ever since the break up about 4 weeks ago, both taehyung and jungkook haven't been their normal selves. they've been extremely quiet and barely talk. both boys are still sitting at the lunch table together, sitting apart. the group is very much aware of the obvious tension. they choose to ignore it and act as if nothing has happened.

lacrosse practice hasn't really changed, apart from everyone noticing that jungkook and taehyung are no longer speaking to each other. they only talk if they are saying a quick "hi" to each other because their friends are talking to each other. jungkook just can't seem to get the boy off his mind.

he loves taehyung, and he knows taehyung loves him back. but he just can't find the guts to finally come out to everyone. he's too afraid of the consequences. what if his whole school reacts negatively? jungkook knows that's a stretch, since namjoon and yoongi are the two most popular boys at school and they're both in relationships with guys.

practice is finally over and jungkook has made his way to his car. he's been so stressed lately, from the break up to lacrosse to school, it's just a lot. he decides to go to his calm spot, which is the rooftop of the place he asked taehyung to be his boyfriend.

he arrives at the side of the building and climbs up the ladder. he sits down on the edge of the building and looks over the city. he sighs, reminiscing about the memories he and taehyung had on that very rooftop. sure, it wasn't the most romantic place in the world. but it was their romantic place.

jungkook is in his mind so much, he doesn't realize that he's been on the rooftop for hours. he looks down at his phone. 7:45 p.m. his lock screen is still taehyung sleeping with mina in his arms on the couch. he smiles, thinking of the memory.

jungkook had just gotten home from running to the store to get taehyung some popcorn for their movie night. he goes into the kitchen and starts making the popcorn, going to check on taehyung in the living room.

when he gets to the room, he looks around when his eyes land on taehyung and mina on the couch. taehyung was asleep and layed out on the couch with mina cuddled up in a ball on top of him. jungkook cooed at the sight.

he takes his phone out of his pocket and snaps a picture of the two. as soon as he puts his phone back in his pocket the microwave beeps, indicating the popcorn was ready. jungkook jogged to the kitchen and grabbed the snack and ran back to the living room.

jungkook finally gets home, walking in as his family is in the living room. "jeon jungkook, where were you?" mrs. jeon asks furiously. jungkook sighs. "i'm sorry, mom. i went somewhere and just got carried away." he tells her honestly.

she nods slowly. "alright. but please tell me when you're going somewhere after practice." she tells her oldest and only son before going back to sit on the couch. she was sitting in the exact same spot the picture of taehyung and mina was taken.

he goes up to his room and closes the door. he sits on his bed and goes through all the photos of him and taehyung in his camera roll.
