the third quarter had finished fairly quickly and it was now the fourth quarter with only a minute left. the opposing team had caught up and the boys were now tied. coach min had called a time-out to talk to the boys.

he had explained what to fix and he looks at hoseok. "jung, you need out?" he asks the boy who just shakes his head. "i'll last a minute." hoseok says. coach min nods and turns to taehyung. "kim, we need you back." he says, and taehyung nods.

the time-out is over and taehyung goes to face off. the boy looks back and sees taehyung instead of hoseok. he scoffs and looks at taehyung. taehyung refuses eye contact with the boy. "scared since i knocked you out?" the boy says, trying to get on his nerves.

taehyung laughs, finding the boys words quite amusing. the whistle blows and taehyung wins the face off once again and he runs down the field. he passes it to jimin who is behind the goal. they're just trying to waste time so they can score, making a plan for taehyung to shoot it.

many seconds pass without the ball being intercepted and it's down to the last few seconds. the ball gets passed to taehyung and he shoots it, the ball going right past the goalie and into the net. the whistle blows, indicating the end of the game.

taehyung jumps up and down in celebration, the crowd absolutely roaring. he and jimin do their signature chest bump and taehyung runs to jungkook. he jumps in jungkook's arms, the force making them fall to the ground. the whole team dog piles on top of the boys, eventually getting off to shake hands.

taehyung and the boy he'd had to face off all night. he stops the boy and looks him in the eye. "don't talk shit if you're gonna lose." he says smirking at the boy and walking away. taehyung goes to catch up with jungkook who is heading to the locker room.

the team celebrates loudly in the locker room and cheers about their victory, which has lead them to the state championship. they have their usual talk and then are sent to get dressed and head home.

taehyung walks out of the locker room in his lacrosse hoodie and his practice shorts with nike crew socks and tennis shoes. as he's talking to his family, he's suddenly picked up from behind and lifted in the air. he gets put down and he turns around, revealing the unknown person to be jungkook.

the boys smile at each other and laugh. their little moment is interrupted by taemi. "kookie!" she yells while running up to the teenager. jungkook acts surprised to see the girl as he picks her up. "how's my little princess?" jungkook asks, fixing the girls shirt.

she giggles cutely. "good." she answers. taehyung looks at the two lovingly. mrs. kim notices and tells taehyung to scoot closer to jungkook. taehyung does as he is told, jungkook putting an arm around taehyung's waist with his open arm.

taehyung's mother snaps a picture of the three and sends it to both boys. jungkook hugs taehyung after sitting taemi back down. "i gotta go. see you tomorrow, as planned?" he says, taehyung nods and smiles. the two wave goodbye to each other and mrs. kim looks at her son.

"you two are so cute." she comments, her son giggling. "speaking of cute, where's jin and namjoon?" taehyung says, looking around. his eyes land on the couple taking a picture with namjoon in his lacrosse uniform while seokjin kisses his on the cheek. taehyung smiles at the sight, happy his brother has found someone that treats him right.

seokjin never tells people, but his past few relationships have been a little, well a lot, shitty. the guys would barely make time for him, cancel plans last minute, tell him to lose weight and rude things like that. namjoon is the first person to treat seokjin how he deserved to be treated.

friday has came pretty fast and taehyung was getting ready for the date jungkook had asked him on. since it is just a casual date, he's chosen a a white t-shirt tucked i to beige plaid pants with plain white shoes. he heads downstairs to the living room and waits.

after a few minutes, a knock is hear at the door and taehyung opens it. jungkook is standing there smiling with his hands in his pockets. jungkook is wearing a black and white striped button up tucked into black jeans with white high-top converse.

"well you look cute." taehyung comments. the boy in front of him smiles. "you look cute, too." he says, hugging the boy. mrs. kim notices jungkook and interrupts their hug. "ah, it's been so long since you've been over!" she exclaims, hugging the tall boy.

"i'm glad to be back! i missed this place." he tells the woman who smiles at him. jungkook puts an arm around taehyung before walking out. "don't bring him back late! you know how that goes!" mrs. kim shouts to jungkook.

jungkook laughs. "he'll be back in time, mrs. kim!" he shouts back, opening the door for taehyung to get in the car. jungkook gets in the drivers seat and drives them to their date spot. the boys get out of the car and walk into the arcade that neither of them have been to before.

they spend a couple hours playing games and even played laser tag against each other, and taehyung won. when the boys were walking out of the arcade taehyung joked with the boy. "i won because of my middielding skills."
he teases.

jungkook giggles as the two get into his car. they then went to a drive-in movie which lasted at least an hour and a half. by now, the time is about 7:15 p.m. and the boys want to have some extra fun, so they went to ride go karts.

sadly for jungkook, taehyung beat him again. on the drive home, the two were bickering about taehyung winning all the games they played that night. jungkook walks taehyung up to the front door, the two still laughing. "i won fair and square, asshole." taehyung jokes.

the boys laughter dies down and they make eye contact. and before they know it, they're making out on taehyung's front porch, which doesn't sound as romantic as it felt. they pull apart and connect their foreheads, jungkook speaking up.

"you have no idea how much i missed that."
