Summer and Y/n's sister were out shopping, meanwhile Tai had to watch little Y/n at home. Tai was watching currently watching his favorite show on TV, while little Y/n was drawing with his crayons on a paper.
Tai: Y/n can you pass the remote *The TV was a bit loud so he couldn't hear him*
Y/n: *looks at Tai* Did you say something daddy? *This finally caused Tai to finally snap*
Tai: *get up and punches his son in his face causing him to fall over and Y/n began to cry*YOU HEARD ME BRAT. GIVE ME THE REMOTE, YOU STUPID LITTLE SHIT *Y/n nods scared and he shakily hands him the remotes till crying* That's better.*snatches the remote out of his hand*
Tai began to change the channel, he then looked back at Y/n who's eyes were drentched in tears. He grabbed the little boy shirt.
Tai: If you ever tell your mother about this, She won't believe you and you'll get hit harder for lying. GOT IT!!?
Y/n: *nods scared* Y-yes D-daddy...
Tai: *drops Y/n* NOW GO TO YOUR ROOM!
Y/n quickly ran to his room terrified.
Soon Summer, Ruby and Yang returned home with a lot of groceries in their hands.
Summer: We're home!
Tai:*gets of the couch and smiles Hey girls, here let me help
Tai takes the bags from them and puts them to the counter.
Ruby: Where's Y/n?
Tai: Oh, he went to bed early, he was really tired.
Summer: Oh well, I will go giving a kiss goodnight.
Summer walks up the stairs and went to Y/n's room but noby noticed Taiyang frowning along with his hated and jealousy
Summer open the door to Y/n's room and saw him in his bed shaking uncontrollably. She sits on the side of bed.
Summer: *strokes his hair* Y/N?
Y/n: *lift his head up to see his mom with tears in his eyes which he immediately hugs her* Mommy!!
Summer: *hugs back worried* What''s wrong?
He was about to tell her but than he remember his father's words.
Y/n: I-I..I had a bad Dream..
Summer: Oh my poor little boy. Don't worry, Mommy won't let anything happen to you.
She began to kisses his forehead and start humming him a lullaby which helps him calm down and help him get to sleep

Tai's abuse towards his son continued when tever the girls and Qrow wasn't around causing Y/n to be terrified of his father. That he never wanted to be alone to him but unfortuantely he didn't have a choice. Especially on day when Summer was taking Ruby and Yang to Qrow for a whole week of training.
Y/n: Please mommy, I want to come too *scared*
Summer: I'm sorry Y/n but you can't start training yet. I'll make it up to you, next year you can come with us to begin your training. *smiles happily* For now, you star home with daddy, ok?
Y/n started shivering when he from those word, but he nodded and Summer hugged him.
Summer: We'll be back in a week.
Summer let's go and Ruby and Yang group hugged him.
Ruby: See you later little brother!
Yang: Cheer up little bro, you start next year with us!
