Soulmate AU

When you're born, the name of your soulmate appears on your wrist, only the first name appears until you meet them. You had certainly gotten the short straw in that category being that, at Westerburg, there were 3 Heathers, and you could never get close enough to even speak to them. By 16, you'd pretty much given up, and today was no different.

It was last period, English, and it was a group project. The teacher partnered everyone up randomly and you got paired with Heather McNamara and for the first time in years, you finally had a little hope. Soon after, the class ended and you approached the group of Heathers nervously.
"Uhm, hi! You're my partner for the project, right?" You asked, looking down at your feet.
"Yup!" She responded, smiling cheerfully at you.
Heather Duke laughed at her, and Chandler mimed a gag.
"Sorry about those two, would you like to go back to my place to work on it?" She questioned.
"I'd love to!" You answered, now looking at her properly. You couldn't help but notice her cute smile.
"Sounds very, just give me  a second to grab my stuff." She turned around to her desk and you went over to your desk and whilst grabbing your stuff, you overheard Duke and Chandler teasing her about something.
"So, Heather, what if this is your soulmate?" Duke asked, smirking at her slightly.
"I doubt it.." McNamara answered, skeptical.
"But what if it was." Chandler theorised.
"How would you feel?"
"Well, I'd be pretty happy, she's beautiful, but I don't know her well yet, so, I don't wanna get my hopes up." She said.
"Well, check your wrist now you've met her." Chandler demanded.
McNamara rolled up her sleeve and your last name was now written on her arm, as well as your first.
"Oh.my.god." McNamara was in disbelief.
"Haha, you've got her!" Chandler laughed cruelly at her.
"I mean, it could be worse." Duke comforted.
"Just drop it guys, I'll see you tomorrow." She was fed up, and so she grabbed her bags and walked over to you.
"So, ready to go?" She asked, smiling calmly at you.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" You responded, grinning at her happily.
The two of you strolled down the street to McNamara's, chatting,
"So, Y/N, so you know who your soulmate is?" Heather asked casually.
"Not specifically, last time I checked it just said Heather.." You admitted, embarrassed it could be a different Heather.
"Oh." Heather muttered, a little sad.
"I'll check again, maybe it's you." You smiled sympathetically at her.
You rolled up your sleeve, and now, your arm said, 'Heather McNamara'.
"Wow.." She managed to say, shocked.
"I guess it is you, sorry.." You felt bad, as though you weren't good enough for her.
"What're you apologising for?" She inquired, genuinely not understanding.
"Oh come on, a girl as amazing and gorgeous as you, with a girl like me.." You answered, frowning a little.
"A girl like you? Beautiful, funny and adorable, you mean." Heather complimented, holding out her hand for you to grab.
"T-Thanks.." You muttered out flustered and held her hand.
"Anytime, now that we're soulmates." She winked at you.
"I'm gonna have to get used to hearing you call me your soulmate." You laughed a little, flustered.
She giggled cutely at your reaction, "Looks like we're here," She commented as she unlocked the door and the two of you walked in.
"Follow me," She smiled warmly at you, and pulled you upstairs, "This is my room, whaddya think?"
"It's pretty yellow, quite very though!" You complimented.
"Thanks, and before we start studying, I wanna do something." She said, her face going a red that could put Chandler's outfits to shame.
"Hm, what?" You asked innocently.
"This." She responded seductively.
She kissed you passionately and pulled away quickly, blushing and flustered.
"Sorry, was that a bit too fast?" She apologised, worried.
"No, I quite enjoyed it actually.." You smirked at her.
"Good, how about we do it again?" She suggested, leaning in closer.
"Sounds good to me." You whispered in her ear and kissed her again.

Let's just say, you didn't get much studying done that evening..
