"You said... I will have no descendants?" Cheng Ziyao narrowed his eyes, his expression both charming and dangerous. He raised the corner of his mouth and smiled in interest.

No descendants meant no offsprings. Anyone who listened to this would be angry. The woman hastily put away the tarot cards and waved her fingers covered in dark red nail polish, showing an expression of embarrassment, "Brain[1], you know, the tarot cards are not so reliable. Although the card surface implies this, it's all possibly nonsense, don't mind my words..." Suddenly, she changed her expression and leaned ambiguously towards him, "Besides, a man like you, someone might have already stolen your seed long ago! She must just be waiting for the child to be born to depend on you!"

"Okay, Deer, you have already said everything. Now you want to take it all back, do you want to smash your own signboard? What about your professional ethics as a popular fortune teller[2]?" Cheng Ziyao put down the glass in his hand, his white and long fingers rubbing along the edge of the glass.

No descendants. It was not impossible, considering his current occupation...

Through the wine glass, Deer watched fascinated as the red liquor gleamed like a crystal halo under his hands. His hands were smooth and fair, but with thin callouses in some places, the brilliance flowing between his fingers was kind of fragile. The tenacious sense of contradiction was just like him.

In front of her, this man was leaning on the sofa with a gentle smile, dressed in casual apparel with a light coloured shirt under a dark sweater vest, and glossy, straight black on his head. The cuffs of his shirt we're rolled till his elbows and a few strands of dark hair were scattered on his forehead. With an aura of peace, he was full of manly charm.

However, in this environment, this peaceful bearing was truly a strange existence. This was "Midnight", an absolutely luxury place full of debauchery where people couldn't help but continue to indulge, thoroughly addicted... a male host club.

That's right, "Midnight" was a male host club. It was famous in the upper-class society, and Cheng Ziyao was the most popular eye-candy of this store, everyone called him Brain. His existence in itself was a contradiction.

His bearing was as elegant and calm as the nobility. He would use the most pleasant voice to speak the most appropriate words on any occasion, and his indifferent eyes would turn into water-like gentleness when he looked at you. This kind of noble temperament had become a fatal temptation in such a place where vulgar addiction and desires reigned supreme[3].

"Brain, if I made you angry, then pretend I haven't been here today!" She pursed her lips slightly and turned away in a spoiled manner.

Cheng Ziyao stretched out his arms to embrace her waist, "How can I be angry with Deer? Darling, be good, turn your face around." The soft voice fell into her ears, tempting.

"What for?" His words always gave the illusion of being loved, but unfortunately, she knew that it was just an illusion he created.

"So that I can treat you well, you dummy." With his fingertips, he lifted her chin and in an overbearing yet gentle manner that did not match the words, he overwhelmed her in his arms, but just dropped a light kiss.

Deer licked her lips in dissatisfaction, "Is that all?"

"Then what does Deer want?" He wrapped a few strands of her long hair around his fingers and kissed her lips. Smiling softly, he sighed, "Unfortunately, I can't accompany you today. I have something to do at night."

Tapping her soft open lips when she tried to open them and caressed her cheek in comfort, "It's not that there are other guests, don't misunderstand me. How can I throw the cutest Miss Deer to accompany others?"

"Well, I will see you again tomorrow." A kiss fell on his lips, and she got up to leave. At the moment she began leaving, she spotted a shadow near the foot of the table.

"Something fell?" He leaned over to help her pick it up.

She took it and it was a tarot card. It might have dropped when she was divining for him just now. Strictly speaking, this was the key card. It seems that the previous results weren't accurate. "Look, I told you before, this reading doesn't count! When I meet tomorrow, I must calculate it for you again!" She waved and then turned to walk out.

Before she put it in her bag, she flipped it over.

A black cloak and scyle gleaming with a cold light.

Her hands shook and the card fell on the ground.

Grim Reaper.

Indus' Notes:

[1] Brain - His name at the host club. Most probably meant to say Brian but oh well.
[2] I modified the sentence since MTL wasn't making any sense.
[3] MTL was illegible so I modified it according to context.

Grim Reaper = Death
