EVA

The time passed very quickly, almost lightning fast.

Ana's absence was very noticeable. I had to be alert for any problem that might arise.

However, I can claim I did just fine. All I had to do was let Dax know about the things he asked me earlier this morning.

The company's phones were ringing incessantly and the appointments they were arranged endless.

I couldn't wait to finish this tedious day at the office. I wanted so much for the night to come, just to go to the meeting.

I wanted so badly to see him again. My mind was running to him and his kisses.

I could still feel his lips all over my neck.

I could still remember his deep voice in my ear.

I could still feel him toughing my body and holding me into his strong arms.

Tonight will be harder than I expected. How can I pretend that the previous night does not exist?

"Eva do you hear me?"

E- Huh?

I raised my head and saw Dax.

Here goes again. The thoughts' destroyer.

E- Mr Ross, I'm so sorry.. I've been thinking about something and I got distracted..

D- It's okay. So, will you come to my office?

E- Excuse me?

D- About what I told you earlier?

E-Uh, yeah.. Give me five and I'll be there.

D- I'll be waiting.

Yeah, of course you will..

I took a sip of my coffee, grabbed the folders with all the necessary forms and headed to his office slowly.

I confess that every step was more and more difficult.

I felt my body tremble.

Meanwhile at his office:

Nathan called Dax and believe it or not he was extremely angry.

D- Hello, Queen. You finally called.

N- 'the fuck you want, Ross?

D- Take it easy man, why are you so upset?

N- Eva called me and said you want to talk about something.

D- Yes, that's true.

N- Don't waste my time then!

D- Didn't you say that you have a cop friend?

N- Yeah. What about him?
