ʙʀʏɴɴᴇ [ʙ-ʀ-ɪʜ-ɴ] / ʀʏɴ [ᴘʀᴏɴᴏᴜɴᴄᴇᴅ: ʀ-ɪʜ-ɴ ᴏʀ ʀᴇɪɢɴ]

Luke, Jace, Isabelle, and Brynne were silently waiting for Clary and Simon outside the Hotel DuMont. They hear a door open and with turning heads everyone sees Clary then Simon runs down the stairs.

"Hey," Jace says softly once Clary was in his arms "Thank God you're okay. So this is your safe hideout, huh?"

"Well, you think the Clave was gonna look here?" Clary says with a smirk

At Jace and Clary catching up Isabelle quickly interrupts not caring for where their conversation was leading to, "Can we please focus on the matter at hand? Unless no one here cares that the Clave is planning on murdering Meliorn"

"What?" Clary and Simon both ask only one of them knowing who the Seelie was but both cared for murdering part

"They think Meliorn has more information on Valentine and the attack than he's saying" Jace explains to clary looking at her as they stood standing directed towards each other leaving everyone else to stand around facing the couple

"They're taking him to the Silent Brothers," Isabelle says dropping the duffle bag she carried off from her shoulder

"We have to stop them!" Clary exclaims glancing at Isabelle before looking back at Jace

"That's the plan, Clary. Rescue and recovery" Jace shares the plan that he and Isabelle had come up with as they knew the lay of the land

"We get him from the guards, in and out, no one gets hurt," Isabelle says as part of their plan was for no one to die or to be badly harmed

"You want us to go up against the Silent Brothers, and an elite Shadowhunter guard unit?" Clary asks not liking the whole three-person plan

"Without any backup?" Luke asks confused

"Pretty much sums it up, yeah" Jace responds with a smile no doubt in his mind that they wouldn't achieve their plan

"Is Alec coming?" Clary asks making Jace purse his lips looking over at Isabelle, and knowing it wasn't her place to answer the question Brynne stays silent

"No. Not this time" Jace says shaking his head

"If they're doing this to Seelies, no Downworlder is safe." Clary says looking over at the three Downworlders standing next to each other and then back to Jace "But we can't go in alone, not if we don't want to be detected"

"My pack will track the unit, create a distraction" Luke announces adding himself to the Shadowhunter's plan making Brynne twirl one of her rings

"I would suggest vampires, but...I doubt they'll cooperate" Simon shares knowing he wanted to help but knew that the people he now belonged to weren't the most helpful

"As much as I hate to agree with Simon," Jace says glancing over to Simon and the feeling seemed mutual "vamps aren't exactly team players"

"What if you all have something to offer him?" Brynne asks knowing the type of leader Raphael was and what incentive he needed to be guided in doing the right thing for others

Everyone went upstairs to a lounge area where some vampires gathered around in front of the group of Downworlders and Shadowhunters all of them waiting for Raphael to join them.
