ʙʀʏɴɴᴇ [ʙ-ʀ-ɪʜ-ɴ] / ʀʏɴ [ᴘʀᴏɴᴏᴜɴᴄᴇᴅ: ʀ-ɪʜ-ɴ ᴏʀ ʀᴇɪɢɴ]

Clary had been blind-sided in handing over her stele and phone to her mom, Jocelyn once having the items locked both Clary and Simon in the shipping container out by the docks near Jade Wolf. Simon luckily still had his phone, but luck wasn't on either one of their sides because the containers didn't receive any cell service. After Simon tried to knock the door down it finally fell and so with Simon's phone they start to track Jocelyn who is tracking Jace.

As they ran down the empty New York streets Simon, who was running at Clary's speed for her sake, decided to call Brynne for backup. Two rings passed and she answered, "Hey Si"

"Ryn we need help," Simon states as he runs beside Clary, the phone on speaker

"Sure what do you need?" Brynne asks not knowing the urgency of the call

"My mom's trying to kill Jace!" Clary shouts but it was loud enough for Brynne to hear and to alert

"Ohh crap, okay uh.. send me your location and I'll be there in say two minutes," Brynne tells them as she runs to her room to grab some shoes and a jacket along with her katana

Brynne doesn't give Simon or Clary the chance to answer, she hangs up the call waiting for them to send their location. When they do recognizes one of the streets making her open a portal and land in an empty street. Brynne glances side to side only to spot Simon and Clary running down the street to her left, and so the raven-haired woman runs after them.

Brynne stops running when she sees vampire ashes surround Jace, but Brynne picks up her step to make it to her friends who had also stopped running a few feet away from Valentine and Jace. Clary sees her mom point a crossbow at Jace but so does Valentine who jumps in front of Jace taking the arrow. Jocelyn starts to reload making Clary shout and run across the street, past Valentine and Jace to stop her mom.

Simon and Brynne run after Clary who shouts, "Mom, stop!"

The woman doesn't, she shoots her arrow at Jace but Brynne uses her magic to stop it from making it hitting either Valentine or Jace who were running towards their open Portal. The portal closes making Jace and Valentine, once again untraceable, and seeing Jace disappear Clary turns to look at her mom with wide eyes, "What have you done?"

Brynne knowing what came next knew she had to leave soon if she didn't want to be questioned once again or have to return back to the Institute. She even suggested Simon do the same, but he stayed at Clary's side like the lovesick puppy he's always been.

A day passes when Simon contacts Brynne once more for her help, but this time because the sun had yet to set she portals to where he had been staying. Brynne wore a men's navy long-sleeved thin material shirt tucked into her denim skinny jeans, top three buttons are unbuttoned allowing for her chocker necklace to be visible.

Black blocked boots hit the pavement making Brynne turn around expecting to walk into Jade Wolf but when Simon's phone location says a container Brynne couldn't help but be confused

"You live here?!" Brynne exclaim once Simon opens the container's door to her

"Y-yeah, Luke offered me this space. The uh the werewolves have been welcoming," Simon lies making Brynne tilt her head to the side knowing he was lying to her
