Chapter 18 | 𝔹𝕒𝕜𝕦𝕘𝕠𝕦 𝕧𝕤. 𝕌𝕣𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕜𝕒

(Y/N)'s POV:

*Previously*

"Come on, let's head back to the booth to watch the next matches." I say "Yeah!" The other girls agreed as we all walked out, Ochako stayed sitting down "Ochako. You coming?" I asked "Oh, my match is soon, I'm just gonna stay in here." She replied "Ok." I said and walked out.

*Present Time*

Me and the other girls (minus Ochako) went back up to our booth "Please welcome our next competitors!" Present Mic announced and on the TV screen a picture of Tetsutetsu and Kirishima popped up "This will probably take forever" I though "Hey, (Y/N)." Midoriya said and Iida coming up behind him "Yeah, what is it?" I asked "I need to talk to Uraraka, I have a plan that could help her beat Kacchan." He explained "Ok, follow me." I replied and started walking, Iida and Midoriya were following me. We came to the waiting room with Ochako inside. Me, Iida and Midoriya entered the player waiting room 2 "Hey Iida. You did great out there." Ochako said "Oh, there you are Uraraka- woah! What's with that face?" Iida asked "My face...? Oh! It's nothing. I guess I'm not great at hiding how nervous I am." Ochako said scratching the back of her neck "I understand that, I mean you are up against Bakugou, and he won't hold back." I state "Yeah, I'm kinda scared... but you know, after seeing your match (Y/N), I feel a little better." Ochako said "What's that supposed to mean?" I asked "Uraraka." Midoriya said stepping out from the doorway "Deku, why aren't you out there watching the matches?" She asked "Well, most of them ended how I expected." He stated "Yeah, and right now it Kirishima and Tetsutetsu. So it might take a little longer." I say. Ochako grips her wrist "I'm next. So this is it, my fight." She said looking down at her hands "It'll be okay. I mean, (Y/N) was probably just joking when she said Bakugou wouldn't hold back on you. Right Midoriya?" Iida asked "Yeah, (Y/N) is right, Kacchan would." Midoriya said, Ochako made a scared sound "Besides, everyone is trying to get the top spot in these games. Even if she wasn't fighting Bakugou, I don't think anyone would hold back." I pointed out "Uraraka, you've helped me so much, it's my turn to help you. Maybe, I can repay you a little bit with this." Midoriya said holding his notebook "I've got a plan on how you could use your quirk against Kacchan. It's not much but I did my best." Midoriya said "Hey, well alright. This is perfect!" Iida said "Thank you so much for doing that. But no, sorry." She replied, we looked at her a little shocked "You're amazing Deku, and I keep seeing that over and over again. During the calvary battle, I told you it was good to team up with friends. but now that I think about it, I might've been trying to relay on you to get by." She explained looking down "That's why, when Iida said he was trying his best to beat you. I actually felt kinda embarrassed for myself." She explained and standing up from her chair "Uraraka..." Midoriya said quietly "So it's fine, everyone's facing their future and giving this their best. That means we're all rivals. Even you and me Deku, so guess I'll see you in the finals." She said giving us a shaky thumbs up.

We all then headed back up to our booth, with Ochako saying to prepare more. When we get there I saw Kirishima and Tetsutetsu both on the ground unconscious, Midnight walks over to them "Its a draw! When the contestants recover from this battle there winner will be determined by a simple contest, perhaps arm wrestling." Midnight said with her hand raised "While we wait for Tetsutetsu and Kirishima to recover, we'll move onto the next battle!" Present Mic announces and the crowd cheers as Ochako and Bakugou's pictures are on the TV screen "Kero. This might be the most disturbing match." Tsu said "I know, I almost don't want to watch it." Jiro agreed rubbing her arms "Come on Ochako, you've got this." I thought, Ochako and and Bakugou step out and into the arena "The eighth and final battle of the first round of the matches. He was kinda a hot shot in middle school, and just look at that determined face. From the hero course: Katsuki Bakugou! Vs. Who I'm personally rooting for, also from class 1-A: Ochako Uraraka!" Present Mic shouts and the crowd cheers "Wow, Present Mic is even rooting for Ochako." I thought "Midoriya, I'm curious, what was that strategy you came up with that would give Uraraka an advantage over Bakugou?" Iida asked "It wasn't really much of a plan. Kacchan's so strong, and during close combat he never has any openings. And the more he moves the more he sweats, which makes his quirk more powerful. He's gotten really good at using his explosions on the ground and in the air. But if Uraraka is able to touch him-" Midoriya explains but I cut him off "Then she could make him float and he'd go out of bounds." I say "Yeah exactly, that's why, it's obvious on what Uraraka needs to do." Midoriya says "Let the eighth match begin!" Present Mic shouts, I look back down at them and see Ochako charging at him "Giving up isn't an option for me!" She says "Wow, look at her go!"Midoriya exclaims "All she has to do is touch him one time." Iida said "But it won't be that easy. Bakugou wouldn't let her get anywhere close to him." I point out while staring at the match below, Bakugou gets his left hand ready to strike an explosion, Ochako tries to dodge his attack but gets hit "Ochako!" I shout "He blasted her!" Mineta said "Looks like Bakugou isn't planning on showing her any mercy." Tsu pointed out, the smoke from his explosion started to clear, Bakugou turned around and fired another explosion at something, the smoke clears and its her jacket. I then see Ochako coming out of the smoke behind him ready to touch him to activate her quirk (Top picture) "Woah! She threw her jacket out as a decoy! What incredibly quick thinking!" Present Mic commented, Ochako was close to touching him but Bakugou turned around quickly and blasted her, she went flying a little ways away from him "Look at that reaction time." Sero said "Seriously, the dude's insane. You can't get the drop on him." Kaminari said. Some of the smoke cleared and Ochako charged at him again "You're to slow!" Bakugou yelled sending off another explosion which knocked her back, Ochako came charging at him again "I've got you!" She shouted, but again Balugou sent off another explosion "Is she ok?!" Tsu questioned, Kyoka covered her eyes "I can't watch this!" She said, Bakugou kept firing explosion after explosion every time Ochako tried to get close to him. Ochako charged at him again "This isn't over yet!" She shouted and went flying back by another explosion. She just kept trying and trying "This is so painful to watch..." I thought, then a hero from the crowd stood up "This is shameful, listen kid, if you want to be a hero, then stop acting like a bully! If your so good then send her out of bounds!" She shouted, Bakugou then set off another explosion as Ochako charged at him again. "Stop toying with the girl and end this fight! The hero exclaimed, then a female hero stood up "Yeah! You heard the guy!" She shouted, the crowd then started to boo Bakugou "The crowd is now booing Bakugou, and honestly I kinda agree with what they're saying-" Present Mic didn't finish his sentence because Aizawa-Sensei hit him on the head and grabbed the microphone "Where is the man that started this uproar? Because if you're being serious you can go home and hang up your cape. I suggest, looking into another profession." Aizawa said "Do you know what he's talking about?" Midoriya asked us, I just shrugged "Bakugou is fierce and acknowledges his opponent's strength, he knows she deserves it if she's made it this far. So he's making sure to do whatever it takes to keep her at bay and come out on top." Aizawa explains. I looked up at the sky and noticed something, there were rocks floating up in the sky "This was her plan..." I thought and then smiled down at her, Ochako then put her fingers together and the rocks cake flying down at a rapid speed "Hey! She had a plan all along!" Midoriya exclaims while standing up, I stand up "You've got this Ochako!" I shout, she then charges at Bakugou while he's looking up and raising his right arm. Just as she was close enough to touch him he sent off an explosion at the rocks falling from the sky and it knocked her far away from him. When the smoke cleared Ochako was seen laying down on the ground and trying to get back up "Bakugou makes up a huge demonstration of power! He blasted apart Uraraka's finishing move like, and remains untouched!" Present Mic exclaims "No..." I mumbled, she then stood up, Bakugou began to charge at her, and then she turned around and starts to charge at him, she then collapses onto the ground, I grip onto the railing and look down at the arena "Uraraka is down!" Present Mic shouts "Ochako..." I mumble, she then tried to crawl over to Bakugou so she can continue to fight and Bakugou takes a fighting stance, Midnight then walks over to Ochako, kneels down and touches her back "Uraraka is K.O (Knocked out) Bakugou advances to the next round." Midnight says, the crowd cheers.
