Chapter 53 | 𝔼𝕍𝔼ℕ 𝕄𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕍𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕤?!

Third Person POV:

Shoji, (Y/N) and Midoriya - who was on Shoji's back - were hiding behind a tree while dark shadow came through, ripping the trees from out of the ground "But, how did he get this way?!" Midoriya asked "Keep it down. After Mandalay told us what was happening, and that we shouldn't engage. We were both on high alert. Still, one of the villains got the drop on us. I hid in the bushes and tried to cover Tokoyami, but one of my arms was cut off." Shoji explained.

"Really?" (Y/N) asked, horror was clear in her voice "It looks really bad. But it's not like it's lost forever. My dupli arms are capable of making duplicates on duplicates, one of those was cut off. The thing is, he couldn't stand seeing my injured like that, the quirk he tried suppressing began to rage and take over." Shoji explained "The darker it is, the less control Tokoyami has." (Y/N) said. "I had no idea his quirk could explode like this." Midoriya said.

"It's probably fueled by his anger and regret, he's trying to hold it back but that only made it wilder." Shoji explains and stepped back a bit, he accidentally stepped on a twig which alerted dark shadow and he tried to attack them but the three dodged "It started lunging at any sound of movement, a beast lashing out with indiscriminate attacks." Shoji explains "His quirk has a weakness to light, so... if we can lead them to a light or back to camp, we can contain it. Midoriya, (Y/N), I know these are strange circumstances, but I can't just leave a suffering friend behind. You two forced your broken and injured bodies here because you were worried about Bakugou. If you still want to save him, ill distract darks shadow for you. And you can run." Shoji said.

Their eyes widened "Hold on, the fire and camp are both pretty far away. I could try to make light with my exploding plants, but they wouldn't make nearly enough light to be able to help. You'll be in danger of-" (Y/N) was cut off when dark shadow lunged at the three of them. They dodged just in time and started running "I know that, but to save people you have to take risks. That's what makes a hero, a hero." Shoji says as they hide behind a new tree. "Will you stay with me and help Tokoyami? Or will you rush to Bakugou's side? You have to make a choice. Right now." Shoji says. Midoriya looks over at (Y/N) and he sees her nod at him "We already have." Midoriya says and Shoji looks at his classmates.

With Bakugou and Todoroki

"Flesh... Pieces of meat...!" Moonfish shouted and shot more teeth metal at Todoroki's ice wall and ended up breaking through a part of it, only for Todoroki to cover it back up again. "Teeth attack? Seriously?! It's time to blast this freak with everything I've got!" Bakugou exclaimed "You can't!" Todoroki argues "If the trees burn them cover them with ice, stupid!" Bakugou exclaims "A big explosion will mess with my vision. I won't be able to see the fire. And how are you going to get close to him anyway?" Todoroki asked causing Bakugou groaned in frustration.

Todoroki and Bakugou then look banging them when they hear banging in the distance "THERE! I SEE ICE! THEY'RE FIGHTING!" (Y/N)'s voice shouted. Todoroki was relived to hear her voice and know that she was still alive, but the shouting also caught Moonfish's attention and he looked over too. They saw Shoji with Midoriya on his back and (Y/N) literally running for their lives "SHOTO! BAKUGOU! WE NEED LIGHT!" (Y/N) shouted. Moonfish tried to attack but dark shadow hit him which caused him to get knocked down.

-Flashback-

"Shoji, I have a plan, it's not perfect, but it might work." Midoriya explained "What?" Shoji asked "If dark shadow reacts to sound, then make duplicate arms to bait him, so that he'll chase after us without attacking our actually bodies. We can lead dark shadow to Kacchan, he'll be able to weaken him with an explosion. I don't want to chose one or the other, I want to save both." Midoriya explained.
