Chapter 19 | 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕆𝕗 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕕 ℝ𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕

(Y/N)'s POV:

*Previously*

I grip onto the railing and look down at the arena "Uraraka is down!" Present Mic shouts "Ochako..." I mumble, she then tried to crawl over to Bakugou so she can continue to fight and Bakugou takes a fighting stance, Midnight then walks over to Ochako, kneels down and touches her back "Uraraka is K.O (Knocked out) Bakugou advances to the next round." Midnight says, the crowd cheers.

*Present Time*

Ochako was getting taken to Recovery girl's office on a stretcher "And that's it for the first round!" Present Mic announces "Oh, and I guess Bakugou is moving onto the second round." Present Mic said in a not so energetic tone "Let's try to forget that depressing outcome! With that the first round is complete. We're taking a quick break and then we'll be back with more matches!" Present Mic says and the audience cheers. I was walking down to recovery girl's temporary office and Midoriya was walking to waiting room two so he could prepare for his battle which was next, Bakugou was walking up towards the booth and we crossed paths "Uh! Hey Kacchan!" Midoriya said in a high voice "What the hell are you two doing here?!" He asked "Uh, I'm up next so I'm going to the waiting room." Midoriya said "I'm going to see Ochako." I replied while sending him a glare "Oh! And congrats on winning your match! See you around." Midoriya said and tried to walk away "It was your idea wasn't it? That stupid desperate plan of hers. Wasn't it Deku?!" Bakugou asked "You're wrong. That plan, Ochako came up with it all on her own. We didn't know anything about it. If that battle was harder then you'd thought it'd be, then it's because of her strategy, not Midoriya's." I say Bakugou then looked at me annoyed and me and Midoriya continued walking.

Since the waiting room comes before recovery girls office I went in with Midoriya and then we saw Ochako "Are you doing ok Ochako?" I asked "I lost, to bad." Ochako replied while scratching the back of her neck, me and Midoriya looked shocked "I guess I got a little carried away at the end, thinking I had it in the bag. Dang it." She said with a smile on her face "Why is she so happy?!" I questioned in my head, me and Midoriya walk up to her "You seem fine. Weren't you injured?" I asked "Yeah, Recovery girl took care of me. She was really careful not to drain my stamina to much though. So I still got a few scrapes and scratches." She replied "Geez! I didn't realize how powerful Bakugou was! He wiped the ring with me! Now I really realize how much training I have to do!" Ochako exclaims while clenching her fist "Are you sure you're ok?" Midoriya asked "Yeah totally. I'm better then I expected." She replied with a smile, she then looked down at the table "Even when you lose you always keep looking ahead to what's next. This just means that I have to work harder." Ochako explains "That's true but-" Midoriya was cut off "We get to decide who the winner of the seventh match is! Kirishima or Tetsutetsu are having an arm wrestling match to see who moves onto the second round!" Present Mic exclaims it was silent for a little while the we hear "Kirishima is the winner! He moves onto the second round!" Midnight announces "Let's get started on the second round!" Present Mic announced "Geez they're loud we could hear it from here, though I think that's the point." I thought to myself "Well I guess it's my turn to go up. See ya." Midoriya said "Oh, I'm sorry Deku. You weren't able to prepare since I was here." Ochako said as me and Midoriya walked over to the door "No, this was perfect." Midoriya said "I'll be watching, good luck out there." Ochako said "Thanks." Midoriya replied, we both then walked out "Midoriya." I called to him "Yeah?" He asked "Win this for me." I said, he nodded a look of determination on his face "I'll try." He replied, we both then walked out separate ways.

I got up to our classes booth just in time as I sat down Present Mic started to talk "I can feel the anticipation in the stadium! And that's because the second rounds first match is about to begin! It's the guy who won his last fight by a landslide and literally left the audience frozen the hero courses: Shoto Todoroki! And this kid almost walked out of bounds! But made a steady comeback by showing us some impressive moves, also from the hero course: Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic announces and the crowd cheers "You got this Midoriya." I mumbled, while my classmates were talking about how they thought how the match would end up I was in deep my thoughts "Both of these heroes in training have been front runners in the sports festival, but which one of these rivals will advance to the next round?!" Present Mic announced "Prepare for... Midoriya vs. Todoroki!" Present Mic exclaims, they both took battle stances "Begin!" Present Mic shouted, Todoroki created an ice wall aiming it at Midoriya, he put his middle finger and thumb out and flicked it activating his quirk and the ice broke and flew everywhere, leaving Midoriya with a broken middle finger "Ouch." I thought "Woah! Midoriya managed to break Todoroki's insane opening move!" Present Mic announced. Todoroki sent another ice attack towards Midoriya and he did the same flick, but used his ring finger "He did it again!" Present Mic shouted, I was biting my lip in anticipation. Todoroki, again, sent off another ice attack and Midoriya did the same thing, breaking his ring finger "This is gonna start to get old." I thought "Oh, no! Crap! I'm missing it!" I turned and saw Kirishima run in "Hey, nice job making it into the second round Kirishima." Kaminari said "Thanks man, looks like I take down Bakugou next." Kirishima said "I'll kill you." Bakugou stated not looking away from the arena "Heh, you sure. In your dreams. No, but seriously, it's crazy how both you and Todoroki both have moves that blast the whole stadium. Must be pretty nice." Kirishima said "Plus you don't have to pause between attacks." Sero added "It's not as easy as you think you morons. If you over use your muscles you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint to much you run out of breath." Bakugou explains looking down at his hand "Wow, he's not yelling. That's a first." I thought "Quirks are physical abilities too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them no stop." Bakugou said. I just looked back at the stadium. Just as I look down Todoroki fires another ice attack and Midoriya breaks his thumb "One hand down. Is this really how he thinks he's gonna win?" I questioned myself "Todoroki dodged Midoriya's attack and is now rushing towards his classmate!" Present Mic exclaims, Todoroki created an ice bridge type thing and ran towards Midoriya, Midoriya then used his middle finger on his other hand "That's hand was already bandaged and he's going to use it?! He's crazy." I thought. Todoroki then tried to punch him, Midoriya dodged and Todoroki punched the ground and ice appeared around his hand, he then shot ice towards Midoriya and it caught his foot inside it, I stood up "Crap!" I thought, Midoriya then used his arm to punch the ice, there was a huge gust of wind that knocked me back into my seat. When the smoke from Midoriya's attack cleared Todoroki was a little trapped by his ice, he then stood up and pushed it off of himself, and I noticed how there was a little bit of frost on his arm. I wanted to know what they were saying so I created a little plant ear piece nobody would notice and put it in my ear using my hair to cover it "What's the matter? You're really that worn out after defending against my attacks?" Todoroki asked, Midoriya then noticed the frost on his body "I'm sorry about this, but thanks for drawing it out. Look at him, he's furious I'm not using his power." Todoroki said "With your hands like that you can't fight anymore can you? Why don't we end this?" Todoroki asked, he then created ice which rushed towards Midoriya "Todoroki continues his overwhelming attacks! Could this be his finish move?!" Present Mic shouted "I'm not done yet!" Midoriya shouts and activated his quirk using the hand with all his broken fingers on it "What is he doing?!" I thought, the gust of wind almost knocked Todoroki out of bounds "You're trembling, Todoroki. It's easy to forget that quirks are physical abilities and that means, there's a limit to how much your body can take." Midoriya said "I get it, usually you'd make up for the dropping temperature by using the heat from your left side. But you refuse to do that now." Midoriya said and looked down at his broken hand "Listen, we're all giving it our all, to try and win, to make our dreams into a reality, to become number one. You think you can win with half your strength?" Midoriya asked "What are you doing Midoriya?" I mumbled "Look at me Todoroki, you haven't managed to put a single scratch on me yet." Midoriya said and he clenched his fist "So come at me with all you've got!" Midoriya shouted "He's trying to get Todoroki to us his left side." I mumbled "Midoriya.... what are you trying to do here? You want my fire?! What? Did my monster of a dad bribe you or something?!" Todoroki asked, he then started to run at Midoriya "Now I'm mad!" He said "His moves are slower, it must be because of the frost on his body." I thought. Midoriya also started to charge at Todoroki, he then powered up his quirk and punched Todoroki in the guts, I stared wide eyed "What a punch! That's the action I like to see!" Present Mic yelled, Todoroki froze a bit of Midoriya's broken arm. And Todoroki went flying back at the impact of the punch, but he didn't go out of bounds. Todoroki stood up and fired another ice attack at Midoriya who dodged it without a problem "His attacks are getting slower." I mumbled, Todoroki then came close to Midoriya to try and freeze him in place, but Midoriya used his quirk and knocked him back a little, Midoriya then put his broken middle finger and his broken thumb together getting ready to activate his quirk, Todoroki created ice and Midoriya broke it. It kept going like this, back and forth a couple of times, Midoriya's fingers were started to look really gross.

Todoroki then created another thing of ice, Midoriya used his thumb, put it in his mouth so he could still flick his thumb to be able to use his quirk. The impact made Todoroki go back a bit but he created ice behind him to stop himself "Why are you putting yourself through this?" Todoroki asked "I want to live up to people's expectations. I want to be able to smile while doing something good for them. I want to be a pro. I'll do whatever it takes to be a hero!" Midoriya shouts the last part, Midoriya then punched him in the gut again and he went flying back a little "That's why I'll give it my all. Just like you should be!" Midoriya shouted at him "There's no way me or (Y/N) can know what you've gone through by just telling us. Or why you're even here. Your life has been so much different then mine. But right now, stop screwing around! If you want to reject your father then fine. But you don't have the right to be number one if you aren't gonna use your full power!" Midoriya exclaims. Todoroki's whole right side started to frost up "Shut up..." Todoroki said. Midoriya charged up his quirk again and got ready to punch him "Thats why, I'm going to win this!" Midoriya shouted as he landed another punch to Todoroki's gut, Todoroki went flying back again. Todoroki tried to stand up "I refuse...to use my left side..." Todoroki said. I stood up and gripped onto the railing "It's yours! Your quirk not his!" I shouted, my classmates, as well as Midoriya and Todoroki looked at me. Midoriya's eyes were wide and then he gave a thankful smile and nodded at me, I nodded back, Todoroki's eyes were wide and then his left side erupted in flames, I was shocked "I didn't think he would actually use his left side." I mumbled "He's using his fire!" Ochako exclaimed "Incredible." Iida said, the entire class was watching in shock "Why would Ishicu help me to win? She knows that if I use my fire I'd win. Was this your guy's plan? Your a fool. Now which one of us is screwing around? I want it to, I'll be a hero." Todoroki said, Midoriya had a smile on his face, and I did to. "Yes Shoto!" I look over to see Endeavor with a giant smirk on his face "Great." I thought sarcastically, he then started walking towards the front of the stands "Have you finally excepted your purpose?! That's it! Very good! This is the dawn of a new era for us! With my blood in your veins you'll surpass me, you'll live up to the reason I created you!" Endeavor shouted "Endeavor definitely shouts word of... encouragement...?" Present Mic says "Why are you smiling? With those injuries in this hopeless situation, you must be crazy. Don't blame me for what happens next." Todoroki said and activated both of his quirks and Midoriya activated his, Todoroki creates ice that starts coming at Midoriya, and Midoriya charges at the ice "They'll kill each other!" I though panicking. Cementos creates a boarder in between them and their attacks end up hitting the cement wall. There's a big explosion and I get pushed back into my seat by the impact "What the heck is with your students?!" Present Mic asked Aizawa "The air around the ring had been fairly cool and then rapidly expanded when it heated up." Aizawa explained in a bored tone "Wait! That's what caused the explosion?! How hot did that fire get? Geez, I can't see a thing. Is that match still going on or what huh?" Present Mic asked, Midnight stood up holding her head when the smoke cleared we all saw Midoriya was out of bounds and unconscious "There. Midoriya is, out of bounds! Todoroki wins! He advances to the third round!" Midnight announced and the crowd cheered.

A/N: This chapter was a little bit longer then the others and took me a while to write, I hope you enjoy this chapter.
