Chapter 22 | 𝕋𝕠𝕕𝕠𝕣𝕠𝕜𝕚 𝕧𝕤. 𝔹𝕒𝕜𝕦𝕘𝕠𝕦

(Y/N)'s POV:

*Previously*

I stood up and continued to run, he was getting ready in a battle stance when all the sudden my vision started to get fuzzy "Crap... not now..." I mumbled I was going over my limit. I soon collapsed on the ground, I was trying to get myself back up, Midnight started to walk over to me "No...I can still fight, I can do it..." I said to her, the last thing I heard Midnight say was "Ishicu is K.O. Todoroki advances to the finals!" The crowd cheered and my vision was starting to get darker. Soon enough I passed out.

*Present Time*

Third Person POV:

"Those two are super strong, and how the girl completely blocked all his attacks is crazy!" A pro hero said "Yeah, although she pushed herself past her limit. If she didn't do that then I'm sure she could've won the match." Another pointed out "But you've got to admit, it's pretty impressive how far she pushed herself and still stood strong." Another said "Yeah, I could use a sidekick like her, powerful quirk, amazing drive, and won't give up no matter what." Another said

(Y/N)'s POV:

When I woke up my head was throbbing and my vision was a little blurry. When my eyes fully opened I could see that I'm in Recovery Girl's office "No. I lost..." I thought, I was frustrated, soon enough the door opens and Iida, Midoriya, Ochako and Tsu step in "(Y/N)! Are you ok?!" Ochako asked with worry laced into her voice "I'm fine..." I replied, staring at the ceiling "You pushed yourself pretty hard (Y/N). Kero." Tsu told me "Yeah... I guess." I said "Yeah, you were out for a while, you missed Iida and Kacchan's battle." Midoriya said "Who won?" I asked "Bakugou, he pushed me out of bounds with an explosion." Iida told me "Oh, that means that Todoroki will verse Bakugou next." I said "Yeah, you haven't missed the final battle." Ochako replied "Ok you four, you need to get out of here, she'll be joining you in a minute." Recovery girl said walking to to them, they exited the room "You shouldn't have gone over your limit. If it wasn't for my quirk you might have been knocked out for a couple of days." Recovery girl told me as she put a bandage on the cut on my face. "You can head out now, just be careful." She told me "Thank you." I said and bowed back then walked out.

I made it up to the booth and was met by Kirishima "Ishicu! Your fight against Todoroki was super manly!" He told me "Oh, thanks Kirishima." I said with a closed eyed smile on my face. I then walked to my seat beside Midoriya and Ochako "I'm glad I got here before the final match started." I said "Yeah, and I'm glad you're ok." Ochako said "Thanks." I said "I can't think about how this match will turn out besides intense." Midoriya said.

Todoroki's POV:

I was in player waiting room two sitting at one of the tables looking down at my hand. And was having a couple flashbacks.

-Flashback-

"And Shoto. That child's left side almost looks unbearable to me. All I can see is his father." My mother said.

"So come at me with all you've got!" Midoriya yelled while clenching his broken fists.

"It's yours! Your quirk not his!" Ishicu shouted from where she was sitting.

"Because I know that you think that if you use your left side you feel like your father, or that you're giving him the satisfaction. But honestly, you won't become that good or popular of a hero if you only use half of your power." Ishicu explained.

-Flashback End-

"How did this happen? I pushed her out of my mind. I tried not to think about her. Then that fights with Midoriya & Ishicu. Mom..." I was deep in thought when suddenly the door crashed open, Bakugou was standing there. We started at each other for a little bit "Hey! What the hell are you doing here?! This is my space to..." He said and looked at the sign outside the door "Huh?! Crap! This is waiting room number two?!" He said, I looked back down at my hand, he then started to walk over towards me "Alright, fine. So maybe I walked into the wrong room. But don't think that means I'm not gonna be on top of my game. You got that?" He said and then brought his hand down on the table emitting an explosion form his hand "You better bring everything you've got to this icy-hot!" He shouted at me, I stared wide eyed for two seconds "Midoriya and Ishicu." I said "Huh?!" Bakugou asked "They said the same thing. Midoriya is a fool. Instead of trying to win the match he focused on bringing down my walls, so did Ishicu." I said, I then turned to look at him "You're childhood friends right? You and Midoriya. Was he like that when you were kids? So helpful." I said, Bakugou clenched his fist "What do they have to do with this?" He asked, he then kicked the table "It's all between you and me now! So focus on the match. That's the only thing I give a damn about. Whatever your family problems are. Whatever you're feeling. It doesn't matter, just make sure you don't hold back! Use your flames on me!" Bakugou shouted and started to walk towards the door "I want everyone to know I beat you at your best." He said and slammed the door shut.

(Y/N)'s POV:

"Welcome to the final battle of the UA sports festival! In just a moment we'll see who's I'll come out on top! Yes! It all comes down to this folks! Form the hero course: Shoto Todoroki! Vs. His classmate: Katsuki Bakugou!" Present mix announced and the crowd was cheering "Now, begin!" After Present Mic said that Todoroki touched the ground and sent a big ice attack straight towards Bakugou. He used his explosions to destroy the ice coming at him. The ice soon completely caged around him "Todoroki starts with a big ice blast! Leaving Bakugou completely buried! Does this mean we've already got a winner?!" Present Mic says "This isn't like when he attacked Sero. The ice now is more controlled. He's being cautious." Midoriya said. So there was a rumbling in the ice and then an explosion and Bakugou jumps out of the ice "He used his explosions to tunnel through the ice like some kind of mole man!" Sero exclaims "These two are insane." Kaminari said. Bakugou then blasted himself at Todoroki, and Todoroki started to charge at him. Todoroki was about to touch him to freeze him but Bakugou dodged "Try harder!" Bakugou shouted at him. Bakugou then grabbed Todoroki's head and left shoulder "He dodged his right side with a blast." Midoriya said "Awesome." Ochako said "Are you underestimating me?!" Bakugou asked while flinging Todoroki over his shoulder. Todoroki creates an ice wall to stop himself from going out of bounds "Todoroki surfs an ice wave to stop from going out of bounds. Looks like fun." Present Mic said. Todoroki then fires some more ice towards Bakugou but he dodges it and comes up in front of him to blast an explosion, Todoroki uses his left arm to grab Bakugou's arm to stop his attack "Is he gonna use his left side?" I questioned "Use your left side." I heard someone say and see Endeavor "Do it Shoto!" He yelled. Todoroki then threw Bakugou away from him instead of using his fire "Way to go Endeavour. He isn't gonna use it now." I thought sarcastically "Stop screwing around. What? Do you think I'm not worthy of your fire?" Bakugou asked "Bakugou timed his explosion and grabbed Todoroki's left side on purpose. He's done his research. His aptitude for this becomes more apparent with every fight." Aizawa said "Interesting." Present Mic said from beside him "Todoroki is doing well so far, but his attacks are too simple. It almost seems like he lost his spark after his fights against Midoriya and Ishicu." Aizawa explained. Small explosions started to go off from Bakugou's hands "You bastard! I told you what would happen if you made a fool out of me!" Bakugou yelled at Todoroki "I'll kill you! I don't want there to be any doubt that I'm the best student at the festival! But that's not possible if you don't come at me with everything you've got! There's no point if you don't fight me with the same power you used agains Deku and Greenhouse!" Bakugou shouted "If you don't want to win this then why are you even here?!" He shouted and started to charge at him "Show everyone you're trying to destroy me!" Bakugou yelled. Frost then started to appear on Todoroki's right side. I stood up "Come on Todoroki! Don't give up!" I shouted. The frost started to melt and fire exploded on his left side, Bakugou then was in the air blasting himself with his explosions towards Todoroki, Todoroki aimed his left arm to shoot fire at Bakugou. But then after a couple of seconds he lowered his arm and the fire on his left side went out, and Bakugou landed a enormous explosion blasting the entire stadium. The impact knocked me back into my seat "Woah! Bakugou used a huge blast like the one he used against Uraraka! He turned himself into a human missile! Todoroki did fire off his flames that wowed us in his matches against Midoriya and Ishicu. So what he become of our two competitors?" Present Mic asked. One the smoke from the explosion cleared Bakugou was seen on the ground eyes wide and Todoroki was laying on a pile of his ice knocked unconscious. Bakugou then stood up and started to run towards Todoroki's unconscious form, he then grabbed onto Todoroki's short and lifted him up "Hey! Stop messing around! This isn't a real win for me unless you try harder! It can't end this way! Now get up!" He screamed at Todoroki, all the sudden he fell unconscious, Midnight used her quirk and was walking up to them both "Todoroki is out of bounds. That means... Bakugou is the winner!" Midnight announced and the crowd cheered. I didn't know why I cared so much about Todoroki or wondering if he was ok.
